Warning about scams to install fake VNeID applications

From July 1, 2025, the resolution on the arrangement of provincial administrative units officially took effect. In the context of people still being confused about the information on changes in administrative boundaries, bad guys have taken advantage to commit high-tech fraud.

The Ministry of Public Security warns: many subjects have impersonated state management agencies such as local police, new commune/ward civil status officers to call and instruct people to access links or install fake VNeID applications with malware. The purpose is to take control of phones and appropriate property.
