President of Vietnam Boxing Federation has been out of work for months

(Dan Tri) - Information from the Vietnam Boxing Federation (VBF) said that VBF President Luu Tu Bao has been in the US for many months and has not returned to Vietnam to manage the Federation's work.

Mr. Luu Tu Bao is the President of VBF for the second term (2023-2028). He holds dual American and Vietnamese citizenship.

According to information from VBF, Mr. Luu Tu Bao returned to the US to take care of family matters since the end of February this year and has not returned to Vietnam.

Also according to information from VBF, during the time Mr. Luu Tu Bao returned to the US, the management of VBF's work was undertaken by Vice President (PC) and General Secretary (GSO) of VBF Nguyen Duy Hung.

Tournaments organized by VBF still took place during the absence of VBF President Luu Tu Bao. These tournaments included the National Strong Team Boxing Tournament held in April and the National Youth Boxing Championship held in July.

Currently, the Sports and Physical Training sector is requesting that VBF urgently meet, deploy tasks, and arrange for someone to be in charge of Mr. Liu Xiu Bao's work during his absence.

In addition, information from VBF said that the VBF Executive Committee Conference will take place in early October. At this conference, tasks related to VBF's work during Mr. Liu Xiu Bao's absence will be mentioned.
