The political art program "Parallel 17 - Desire for Peace" will be held at the Hien Luong River Relic Site.

Today, June 25, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province worked with the delegation of Nhan Dan Newspaper to coordinate the organization of the political art program "Parallel 17 - Desire for Peace " to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Geneva Agreement on July 21 (1954 - 2024) and the 70th anniversary of Vinh Linh tradition on August 25 (1954 - 2024). The art program "Parallel 17 - Desire for Peace" organized by Nhan Dan Television of Nhan Dan Newspaper with a duration of 100 minutes, taking place at 8:00 p.m. on July 19, 2024 at the Hien Luong - Ben Hai Special National Monument; broadcast live on Nhan Dan Television, Quang Tri Radio and Television Station and many radio and television stations nationwide.

The program script includes a ceremony and an art part with 5 chapters: The days of July; as if there was no separation; blood and flowers; where the strength of Vietnam can be seen; prosperous land - heroic country. The program ends with a high-altitude fireworks display. Participating in the program are famous singers: Anh Tho, Trong Tan, Tung Duong, Van Khanh, Mai Chi, Bach Tra, Lavender dance group... with many singing, dancing, short plays, and unique and lively scenes.

Nhan Dan Newspaper proactively funded all expenses for organizing this event and requested Quang Tri province to support the reception of delegates, ensure security and order, traffic, logistics, mobilize extras...

At the meeting, representatives of relevant departments, branches and localities contributed many ideas to contribute to perfecting the program script.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam acknowledged and highly appreciated the idea and script of the political art program "Parallel 17 - Aspiration for Peace". Emphasizing that this is a humane and meaningful program, achieving the goals: celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Geneva Agreement and the 70th anniversary of Vinh Linh tradition as well as contributing to deepening the meaning of the 2024 Festival for Peace organized by the province in July.

It is recommended that Nhan Dan Newspaper arrange LED screens for people to watch the program; carry out procedures for licensing high-altitude fireworks; provide program information for the province to coordinate communication before, during and after the event. Quang Tri province will assign specific tasks to relevant units to support and facilitate the content requested by the delegation in order to coordinate the organization of the program successfully.
