Coca-Cola inaugurates $136 million factory in Tay Ninh

The factory with a total investment capital of 136 million USD of Coca-Cola Beverages Vietnam Company Limited was officially inaugurated at Phu An Thanh Industrial Park, Ben Luc commune, Tay Ninh province.

Coca-Cola Tay Ninh factory has an area of ​​19 hectares, located in Phu An Thanh Industrial Park, Ben Luc commune.

With an area of ​​19 hectares, Coca-Cola Tay Ninh factory has invested in 5 advanced bottling and bottling lines, with a total capacity of about 1 billion liters of beverages per year.

Coca-Cola's Tay Ninh factory is also the first food and beverage factory in Vietnam to achieve LEED (V4: BD+C) Gold certification, thanks to the integration of many sustainable technology solutions such as energy-saving lighting systems, optimal cooling and modern heat dissipation.

Leaders of the Ministry of Finance and Tay Ninh province pressed the button to inaugurate the factory.

According to Coca-Cola Vietnam's Deputy General Director of External Affairs, Communications and Sustainable Development Bui Khanh Nguyen , the factory uses renewable energy with a 6MW rooftop solar power system and a 10-ton biomass boiler, replacing traditional fossil fuels.

"The water treatment system at the factory helps reuse up to 89% of the produced water, demonstrating the company's strong commitment to green growth goals, in line with the sustainable development orientation of Tay Ninh province and the climate commitment at the COP26 Conference," said Mr. Bui Khanh Nguyen .

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province Nguyen Van Ut emphasized the commitment to always accompany Tay Ninh enterprises.

Congratulating the new Coca-Cola Vietnam factory on its official operation, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut also emphasized the province's commitment to always strive to build an open, safe, stable and transparent investment environment for domestic and foreign enterprises.

Tay Ninh Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quyet attended the event.

"With the spirit of "accompanying investors", we believe that, after Coca-Cola, there will be many more large international investors choosing Tay Ninh as a strategic destination, contributing to making the province a dynamic growth pole in the Southern Key Economic Zone" - Mr. Nguyen Van Ut affirmed.

After more than 30 years of presence in Vietnam, the inauguration of Coca-Cola's third factory not only expands the value chain, but also creates about 4,000 direct jobs and tens of thousands of indirect jobs. This is a new milestone in Coca-Cola's development journey, at the same time, making a positive contribution to Tay Ninh's socio-economic development in the coming time.
