Police investigate case of male student beaten up in class and hospitalized

On October 12, Mr. Tran Xuan Bach, principal of Bac Son Secondary and High School (Tuyen Hoa, Quang Binh ), confirmed that local police are investigating the case of a male student who was beaten by two classmates in class and had to be hospitalized.

"As soon as the incident occurred, the school took notice and worked with the students and their families, and reported to the police to coordinate. Currently, the police are working and have not yet had specific results," said Mr. Bach.

Previously, social networks in Quang Binh spread a clip of a male student being beaten up by two other people in the classroom. The clip made the online community angry because of the two people's violent actions.

The school identified the beaten male student as BVK, an 11th grader at the school. The two people who assaulted K. were 11th graders at the same school.

K.'s family said that after being beaten, K. experienced headaches, dizziness, and nausea. The family had to take K. to the hospital for treatment.

At the hospital, K. was diagnosed with multiple injuries due to impact on many areas of the body.

K.'s family also said that K. had been threatened with beatings many times before, so he wanted to drop out of school. The family encouraged K. to continue trying to go to class.

"We hope that the authorities will handle the case seriously so that similar cases of school violence do not happen again," said K.'s sister.
