Thanh Hoa Electricity Company strengthens solutions to ensure electricity supply during the Lunar New Year 2025

To ensure operation and electricity supply during the Lunar New Year 2025, Thanh Hoa Electricity Company has proactively proposed solutions to provide safe and stable electricity to serve the Party Committee, Government and People in the province to enjoy spring and celebrate Tet.

Thanh Hoa Electricity Company shall not carry out any work that requires stopping or reducing power supply, causing power outages to customers during the 2025 Tet holidays: from 0:00 on January 25, 2025 (ie the 26th day of the Lunar New Year) to 24:00 on February 2, 2025 (ie the 5th day of the Lunar New Year), except in cases of incident handling. At the same time, priority shall be given to power supply to irrigation pumping stations to combat drought and saltwater intrusion, serving farmers who are in flood season and planting the 2025 winter-spring crop.

Organize on-duty to strengthen leadership, operation and repair of electricity 24/24h; pay attention to material and spiritual regime for the Tet duty force; prepare adequate materials, equipment, communication systems and means of transport, in which the Telecommunications and Information Technology Department is assigned to coordinate with the Scada department of the Remote Control Center to ensure the transmission system to safely operate the power system and the computer network to operate well, ready to quickly handle arising incidents; organize to re-establish on-site operating shifts at unmanned transformer stations when necessary.

The Dispatch Department provides load forecasts, calculates the power system operation method, and plans to operate medium and low voltage capacitor banks to prevent voltage surges and minimize the situation of reactive power being transmitted back into the transmission grid during periods of low load. Strictly implement the Dispatch Procedure and operate the power system; comply with the voltage charts of the Dispatch levels, and reduce capacitor banks according to the plan.

Grasp the time and location to ensure stable power supply as well as perform well business and customer service during the Tet holiday in districts/towns/cities.

The company is urgently completing investment in construction of medium and low voltage overload prevention projects before Lunar New Year 2025.

One of the important tasks that the Company is strengthening to implement is investing in upgrading and renovating the power grid system. Currently, the unit is urgently investing in building 58km of new medium-voltage lines, 202 substations, 450km of low-voltage lines, building 11 22-35kV feeders after 110kV substations, renovating the grid to create 04 medium-voltage loops and installing equipment to split and connect 57 medium-voltage lines, increase capacity, and rotate 169 transformers. Striving to energize before Tet for projects to prevent overloading of the medium-low voltage grid and energize the remaining projects before March 31, 2025 to ensure power supply for the upcoming Lunar New Year and summer 2025.

Accordingly, the Company has directed units to grasp the power supply situation, strengthen inspection and management of power lines and transformer stations to limit power incidents, including not only repairing locations and replacing power lines but also reserving many equipment and field generators to promptly handle any situation that may arise. Power companies in areas with high risk of drought such as Cam Thuy, Nga Son, Hau Loc, Hoang Hoa, Ha Trung, Quang Xuong, Nghi Son town... regularly and proactively contact district irrigation branches to update water pumping plans at each time, especially for flood relief and maintain pumping schedules during periods of high salinity. It is known that at this time, on average, each day a pumping station in the area operates continuously from 12 to 15 hours, so keeping the power source safe and stable is an extremely important task. Thanks to the close connection between the two sectors and units, even when many machines at the pumping stations must be mobilized at the same time, no incidents occur. Currently, the spring rice crop and crops in localities in the province have enough water for planting.

With the determination to best meet the electricity needs of customers, Thanh Hoa Electricity Company has so far completed the plan to supply electricity during the 2025 Lunar New Year. Thereby, on the one hand, increasing commercial electricity output, on the other hand, enhancing the sense of responsibility of management leaders, officers, workers and employees to ensure the goal of safe and stable electricity supply to serve the Party Committee, Government and people of all ethnic groups in the province to enjoy spring and celebrate Tet.
