Hanoi University of Science and Technology adds admission combination

This year, Hanoi University of Science and Technology enrolls 9,680 students in 65 majors and training programs through 11 admission groups.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology enrolls students using three methods: talent selection (accounting for 20% of the total quota), thinking assessment (40%) and based on high school graduation exam scores (40%). Compared to last year, the school reduced the quota based on high school graduation exam scores by 10%, while increasing the rate of selection based on thinking assessment.

Talent selection method , the school recruits directly, based on international certificates and capacity profile review combined with interviews. The method of evaluating the thinking test scores , candidates must attend the exam organized by the school. This year, the school organized three rounds, the first round took place on January 18-19.

In the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, the school added one more admission combination, K01 (Math, Literature combined with one of the four subjects Physics/Chemistry/Biology/IT). With this combination, when calculating scores, Math is multiplied by a factor of 3, Literature by a factor of 1, and the remaining subjects by a factor of 2.

The school continues to convert VSTEP English certificates or international certificates equivalent to IELTS 5.0 or higher into English subject scores when considering admission based on graduation exam scores in groups that include this subject.
