Ensuring security and safety at the Tran Temple Opening Festival in Xuan Giap Thin 2024

The Tran Temple - Nam Dinh Spring Seal Opening Festival 2024 will be held tonight, January 14 and early tomorrow morning, January 15. Taking place right on the weekend, it is likely to attract tens of thousands of visitors from all over to come and offer incense and ask for the New Year's seal to pray for peace, health and luck. Therefore, the authorities and functional agencies of Nam Dinh province have made plans to ensure security, order and safety so that people can enjoy the Spring Festival with peace of mind.

To ensure security and safety at the Tran Temple Opening Ceremony, Nam Dinh City Police coordinated with professional units to mobilize more than 2,800 officers, soldiers, and employees of various forces to participate in ensuring security and order. This force was divided into 5 rounds; of which 4 rounds were in the Tran Temple area with nearly 70 security posts and 8 inspection and patrol teams to handle traffic order, fire prevention and fighting to prevent jostling, pushing, and unsafe situations. The police force controlled and grasped the situation to prevent the situation of taking advantage of crowded times to steal money and property of tourists.

Notably, Nam Dinh Provincial Police have developed a plan to prevent drowning, as in front of the Tran Temple and Thap Pagoda there are two crescent-shaped lakes with wide perimeters and deep water levels. Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Khanh, Deputy Head of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, said: "We are taking precautions against drowning. Because the two crescent-shaped lakes in front of the Tran Temple have very deep water levels, some points are over 4m deep. We have also gathered 100% of our troops to ensure the Opening Ceremony. We have prepared boats, life buoys, life jackets, and rescue ropes at places where accidents and unexpected incidents are likely to occur."

From 7am this morning (14th day of the first lunar month), traffic police force of Nam Dinh Provincial Police were present at the duty location, ensuring traffic order and safety, preventing congestion, not allowing vehicles to park or stop on National Highway 10 and parking in the right place; patrolling, controlling and handling violations on national highways and traffic routes.

The Nam Dinh provincial health sector has also assigned specific tasks to promptly provide first aid and promptly handle any accidents that may occur during the process of people and tourists coming to Tran Temple. Doctor Tran Viet Cuong, Head of Loc Vuong Ward Health Station, Nam Dinh City said: "At the emergency teams, each emergency team has 2 medicine bases and the number of people and 8 people. Including doctors and nurses, along with ambulances. There are 3 ambulances. 2 in front and 1 in the back to ensure some emergency work on the opening night of Tran Temple".

The Tran Temple Seal Opening Festival is an ancient custom and cultural activity with great significance: praying for "national peace and people's well-being"; educating the tradition of patriotism, fighting against foreign invaders, remembering the merits of ancestors and the great contributions of the Tran Dynasty.

According to the plan, from 10:15 pm tonight, the incense offering ceremony will be held at Thien Truong Temple; from 10:40 pm, the ceremony to carry the Seal Palanquin from Co Trach Temple to Thien Truong Temple will be held. From 11:15 pm, the Seal Opening Ceremony will be performed.

During the Opening Seal Ceremony, the Festival Organizing Committee will close Thien Truong Temple to ensure the solemnity of the traditional ceremony. From 5:00 a.m. on January 15, the organization will distribute seals to people and visitors from all directions at 3 Giai Vu houses and the Trung Hoa Temple Exhibition House.
