“Green destination” - a trend chosen by tourists

Among many options, “green” tourism with “green destinations” continues to be the priority choice of many tourists. Not outside the development trend, some “green destinations” in Thanh Hoa province have been constantly making efforts to innovate products and improve service quality to attract tourists.

Ben En National Park (Nhu Thanh) - a "green destination" loved by tourists for its experiences associated with fresh nature.

In the past 2 years, Ben En National Park (Nhu Thanh) has been known as a green destination, with a mix of many types of terrain: hills, mountains, rivers, streams, lakes... This destination is 9km west of the center of Nhu Thanh district, with a total natural area of ​​nearly 15,000 hectares. The most prominent feature is the evergreen tropical forest ecosystem on lowland mountains, limestone mountains and the river, stream and lake ecosystem. When coming here, visitors are very excited about the experience of taking a boat to see Muc River Lake - an ideal place for conservation and development of aquatic species and freshwater fish. In order to meet the needs of visitors, since 2023, Ben En National Park Management Board has developed more experiential activities associated with learning about nature on the botanical island, which have been welcomed and highly appreciated by visitors. During the 5 days of the April 30 and May 1 holidays alone, this place welcomed and served more than 4,000 tourists.

Director of Ben En National Park Management Board Le Cong Cuong said: “Green tourism is not only a trend but also an inevitable requirement for Ben En National Park to develop sustainable tourism in the future. In order to orient and build Ben En National Park into one of the green, attractive, professional tourist destinations with diverse tourism products imbued with unique identities, we have developed the “Project for Ecotourism, Resorts and Entertainment in Ben En National Park Special-Use Forest, 2021-2030 period”. In which, we focus on developing a number of types and tourism products such as: ecotourism, entertainment, community tourism; cultural - historical - spiritual tourism; resorts, health care; adventure tourism... The goal is to develop ecotourism activities associated with the conservation and promotion of the value of natural resources and biodiversity, bringing benefits to local communities, while contributing to promoting the ability to adapt and effectively respond to climate change. later

For those who love green tourism, along with Ben En National Park, when coming to Thanh Hoa, there are many other options such as: Pu Luong (Ba Thuoc); Ma village (Thuong Xuan); Golden Cow farm (Thuong Xuan); Yen Trung tourist village (Yen Dinh); high-tech fruit tree growing agricultural model (Thach Thanh, Tho Xuan) ... In particular, Pu Luong Community Ecotourism Area is increasingly affirming its "green destination" tourism brand thanks to its natural landscape and the architecture of the resorts associated with local culture and nature. Thanks to that, in just the first 6 months of the year, this place has welcomed nearly 140,000 visitors, of which 34,750 are international visitors; estimated revenue is over 209 billion VND.

It can be said that, along with the implementation and good implementation of planning and planning management by State management agencies, enterprises are the most important subjects in creating "green destinations" and green experiences for tourists. "It can be said that to create a "green destination" requires a huge amount of funding, more time and effort than a normal tourism product. However, understanding the value of sustainable community ecotourism development, most resorts in Pu Luong have been and are being invested in the trend of developing green tourism seriously.
