As of July 24, the Northern medical schools have announced the minimum score for this year. Previously, the Ministry of Education and Training also announced the minimum score for the health sector as 17-20.5. This is the lowest score ever, when in previous years it was in the range of 19-22.5 points.
However, the score announced by the Ministry of Education and Training is only the minimum threshold; schools can set their own higher score.
Particularly, Hanoi Medical University, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Thai Nguyen University set the floor score for Medicine and Dentistry as 22.5.
The minimum admission scores for a series of Northern medical schools in 2025 are as follows:
Hanoi Medical University: 17-22.5 points
Of which, 22.5 points applies to the majors of Medicine, Dentistry and Thanh Hoa Branch of Medicine. The major of Traditional Medicine has the second highest floor level of 20 points. The remaining majors consider candidates with 17 points or more.
According to the announcement of Hanoi Medical University, in this school year, tuition fees for the school's majors are expected to range from 16.9-62.2 million VND/school year, an increase of 1.9-7 million VND compared to 2024.
University of Medicine and Pharmacy - Vietnam National University, Hanoi: 19-20.5 points
The highest floor score at this school belongs to 2 majors: Medicine and Dentistry with 20.5 points.
For the remaining majors including Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Imaging Technology, Nursing, the minimum score is 19.
In the 2025-2026 school year, the tuition fee of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnam National University, Hanoi is expected to be 62 million VND, an increase of 7-34.4 million VND compared to the present.
Hanoi University of Pharmacy: 20-22 points
Regarding the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, Pharmacy has the highest floor score of 22 points, Pharmaceutical Chemistry is from 21 points, Biotechnology and Chemistry are from 20 points.
The school estimates the tuition fee for Pharmacy in 2025 to be 27.6 million VND/academic year, an increase of 3.1 million VND compared to last year. The remaining majors including Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Chemistry and Biotechnology will have tuition fees of 17.1-24.4 million VND/academic year, an increase of 1.9-3.16 million VND compared to last year.
Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine: 19-20.5 points
The minimum score for admission based on high school graduation exam scores announced by the Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine this year, excluding bonus points and regardless of exam results of candidates studying the 2006 and 2018 programs, is 20.5 points for Medicine, 19 points for Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy.
In the 2025-2026 school year, the tuition fee for both Medical and Traditional Medicine training majors at the school is 31.1 million VND/school year (an increase of 3.5 million VND compared to last year); the tuition fee for Pharmacy remains 27.6 million VND/school year.
University of Public Health : 15-17 points
With the method of considering the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam, the two majors of the University of Public Health with the lowest score (15 points) are Public Health and Data Science. The two majors of Medical Laboratory Technology and Rehabilitation Technology have the highest floor score of 17 points. The majors of Nutrition and Social Work both have a floor score of 16.
The school's expected tuition in 2025 is 18-34 million VND, depending on the major.
Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy: 17-20.5 points
According to the announcement, the highest floor score of Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy this year is 20.5, applied to the majors of Medicine and Dentistry. Meanwhile, the two majors of Pharmacy and Traditional Medicine have the floor score of 19. The majors of Medical Laboratory Technology, Preventive Medicine, and Nursing have the floor score of 17.
The expected tuition fee for the 2025-2026 school year for Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy is about 58 million VND; for Preventive Medicine and Traditional Medicine is about 50 million VND; for Nursing and Medical Laboratory Technology is 45 million VND.
Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy: 17-20.5 points
This year's minimum score is 2 points lower than last year. The highest minimum score for Medicine is 20.5. The minimum score for Pharmacy and Traditional Medicine is 19. The remaining majors, including Preventive Medicine, Nursing, and Medical Laboratory Technology, all have a minimum score of 17.
The tuition fee of Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy this year is expected to be 55.5 million VND/year for the majors of Medicine, Traditional Medicine, and Pharmacy. The majors of Preventive Medicine, Nursing, and Medical Laboratory Technology all have a tuition fee of 42 million VND/year.
Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy: 17-22.5 points
This year, Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy set the minimum score for Medicine and Dentistry at 22.5, and Pharmacy at 19. The remaining majors include: Preventive Medicine, Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Imaging Technology, Rehabilitation Technology, and Nursing with the minimum score of 17.
Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy announced that this year's tuition fees range from 43-59 million VND, an increase of 7-13 million VND compared to last year.
