On the afternoon of March 27, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations held a conference on the implementation of tasks for 2025. According to the report, in the past time, the Standing Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations has focused on developing a plan to disseminate and study the directives and resolutions of the Party, State and the resolutions of the Congress to the Executive Committee members and member associations.

The Union pays attention to and regularly carries out information and propaganda work on people's foreign affairs activities on media and social networks, affirming the position, role and importance of people's foreign affairs work in the fields of peace , solidarity, friendship, cooperation with peoples of other countries and foreign non-governmental aid mobilization.

Cooperation, solidarity and friendship activities with localities and international organizations have been promoted. The Union has also actively mobilized and implemented foreign non- governmental aid projects and achieved positive results, contributing to the province's attraction of foreign non-governmental aid; actively integrated foreign information work into its activities; participated in working with international organizations and foreign enterprises to inform about the potential and investment opportunities as well as promote the culture and people of Thanh Hoa to domestic and international friends; and done well in charitable and humanitarian activities.

The Union also coordinates with the Department of Foreign Affairs and friendship associations with other countries to organize people's foreign affairs activities associated with the celebration of major national holidays; promotes the development of branches of friendship associations in districts, paying attention to young members with scientific and technical knowledge and business teams; strengthens mobilization to attract aid sources from international organizations and foreign non-governmental organizations; connects with Thanh Hoa associations abroad, organizes the provision of information on potential investment opportunities to call for and mobilize overseas Vietnamese to return to build their homeland...

Discussing at the conference, the comrades in the Executive Committee of the Union pointed out a number of difficulties in the activities of the Union, such as: Difficulties in financial resources, human resources, and operating headquarters, which have a certain impact on the implementation of activities of the Union and its member organizations. In addition, some member associations do not operate regularly and are not proactive in their activities. Members are at risk of aging, and the development of branches and the gathering of members, especially young people, to participate in the association is still limited. The work of mobilizing and attracting foreign non-governmental aid is facing difficulties due to the approval procedures and current management regulations of the State.

He emphasized that in the coming time, the regional and world situation is forecasted to have many complex and unpredictable changes; opportunities, advantages, difficulties and challenges are intertwined. In particular, 2025 is a very important year when the whole country reorganizes the administrative apparatus at all levels, with many major events at the national and provincial levels, requiring closer attention to propaganda and public diplomacy.

To continue to effectively implement the Party and State's guidelines and policies on foreign affairs; to make the province's people's foreign affairs activities more effective, substantive and in-depth, he suggested that the Union continue to study and disseminate to its member associations the documents and resolutions of the Central and the province; organize training conferences, update information and situations for key leaders of the Union and member associations on people's foreign affairs; continue to promote peace, solidarity, friendship and cooperation activities on the basis of attaching importance to developing in-depth relations with the people of neighboring countries and countries that have an important position in the province's foreign policy.

Along with that, it is recommended that member associations continue to coordinate with all levels and sectors to effectively organize exchange activities to celebrate the country's major holidays; strengthen mobilization to attract aid from international organizations and foreign non-governmental organizations; develop proposed projects, organize meetings and work with the People's Aid Coordination Board, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and a number of foreign non-governmental organizations to mobilize aid to improve the effectiveness of investment attraction and the effectiveness of non-governmental activities.

He also requested the Standing Committee of the Union to study creative solutions to continue connecting with Thanh Hoa associations abroad; organize the provision of potential information and investment opportunities to call on overseas Vietnamese to come back to build their homeland; promote the image of Thanh Hoa people, culture and land to international friends to serve the socio-economic development of the province; innovate the exchange, provision and management of information; strengthen the organization of member associations to become stronger and stronger, meeting the requirements of people's foreign affairs in the new situation.
