Dong Nai aims to become a centrally-run city by 2030

In the next 5 years, Dong Nai aims to develop green, rich, civilized, and modern, striving to basically meet the criteria of a centrally-run city by 2023.

On September 24, Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee held a press conference to inform about the 1st Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, and information on the economic , social, national defense and security situation in the first 9 months of 2025.

According to Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, the 1st Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress will take place in 2 days (September 29-30) at the Provincial Convention Center (Provincial Square, Tan Trieu Ward, Dong Nai). It will be broadcast live on channels DN1 and DN2.

The total number of delegates attending the Congress is 450, of which 65 are ex-officio delegates (including current members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee), the rest are appointed delegates.

The theme of the Congress is "Building a clean, strong, united, disciplined and responsible Party and political system; ensuring national defense, security and border sovereignty; mobilizing and effectively using all resources, developing a green, prosperous, civilized and modern Dong Nai province".

In the period of 2025 - 2030, Dong Nai aims to build a prosperous, civilized and modern province by 2030; striving to basically meet the criteria of a centrally-run city by 2030.

Dong Nai also set a target of an average growth rate of 10% or more in the total product in the area in the 2026 - 2030 period.

A new point of Dong Nai is that although the Central Government does not stipulate the development of an action program approved at the congress, the province has proactively developed it and will present it at the congress for discussion, ensuring that the congress resolution is concretized into goals, tasks, solutions, lists of programs, projects and specific plans. This is the basis for leading and directing the implementation of the resolution throughout the term.

There are a total of 34 programs, projects, resolutions; 46 key projects and works that need to be implemented in the 2025 - 2030 term. This is a strategic, synchronous and comprehensive action framework, aiming to develop Dong Nai rapidly, sustainably, greenly and modernly, becoming the leading center of logistics industry, services, and high-tech agriculture in the country.
