Quy Nhon City People's Committee plans to complete 3 walking streets to serve tourism before Lunar New Year 2025.

On July 6, the leaders of Quy Nhon City People's Committee (Binh Dinh) said they are speeding up the construction procedures for 3 walking streets, including: Nguyen Thiep Street, Do Doc Bao - Pham Hung Street, Nguyen Lac - Tran Doc Street.

Nguyen Thiep Street is limited by Nguyen Thiep, Nguyen Hue, Xuan Dieu streets and Quy Nhon beach area with a design area of 11,000 m2, length of 120 m. Here, there is a space for walking, street art performances, entertainment, community connection; special landscape arrangement, tourist check-in; flexible trade promotion activities depending on the reality.

The Do Doc Bao - Pham Hung street has a total design area of 38,200 m2, approximately 1,140 m long. This street is arranged with stalls selling light food , costumes, souvenirs, calligraphy, painting, books; activities displaying and selling local products and souvenirs at fixed kiosks every day from 8 am to 11 pm.

Nguyen Lac - Tran Doc street is surrounded by 4 axes of Nguyen Thiep, Xuan Dieu, Nguyen Hue, Phan Dang Luu, planning to develop and connect Ngo Van So culinary street and neighboring areas to form a culinary tourist area with an area of 12,150 m2 (excluding residential land area), about 320 m long.

The walking street's operating hours are specifically calculated, including time for sightseeing and tourist check-in 24/7. Street art activities are organized periodically in the evenings of the 3 weekend days and holidays, from 7pm to 11pm.

The estimated cost of the project is around VND104 billion. Mr. Nguyen Phuong Nam, Vice Chairman of Quy Nhon City People's Committee, shared: "Currently, the project to build walking streets has been approved by competent authorities. We are also speeding up the implementation procedures for these streets with the hope of completing the project before the Lunar New Year 2025."
