According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, this is a fast-moving storm with strong intensity and a wide range of influence, which can cause combined impacts of many types of natural disasters such as strong winds, heavy rains, floods, flash floods, landslides and coastal flooding.

To promptly handle storms that impact the power transmission grid, the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) has established two working groups to respond to storms at the center of the storm.

In particular, on the evening of September 28, EVNNPT General Director - Pham Le Phu, along with leaders of specialized departments and leaders of Power Transmission Company 2, were on duty to command storm response at the 500kV Quang Trach Transformer Station ( Quang Tri province).

EVNNPT Deputy General Director Luu Viet Tien, along with leaders of specialized departments and leaders of Power Transmission Company 2, were on duty to command storm response at the 500 kV Ha Tinh Transformer Station (Ha Tinh province).

According to reports from the units, before the storm made landfall, all preparations for responding to storm No. 10 at transmission units in the Central region had been completed. 100% of the transmission line and transformer station staff were on duty at the unit headquarters to be ready to respond when there was an emergency.

EVNNPT leaders require units to be highly focused and not to be subjective or negligent in the face of the complex and unpredictable developments of storm No. 10. At the same time, prepare all human resources, materials, and machinery to proactively handle incidents immediately when electrical safety conditions are met.

EVNNPT leaders also noted that this was a major storm, with strong winds for many hours affecting the power transmission system. After the storm has passed, when safety conditions are met, units need to urgently review and inspect the power line system and transformer stations to quickly fix the power transmission affected by the storm.
