Nearly 2,000 people experience fire safety skills

The Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department (PCCC) and Rescue Department (CNCH) of the Provincial Police have just coordinated with educational institutions: Pho Yen Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center; Tan Kim Secondary School; Tan Quang Primary and Secondary School to organize propaganda and experience on fire safety skills, CNCC, and drowning prevention.

Nearly 2,000 cadres, teachers, students and parents at the propaganda points were equipped with basic knowledge about fire prevention and fighting, common causes of fires and explosions in daily life and schools; instructed on skills to handle initial situations when incidents occur, how to escape safely; how to call 114 to report a fire. In particular, at Tan Kim Secondary School, content on first aid measures and prevention of drowning accidents was also integrated.

During the experiential activity, under the guidance of fire prevention officers, students directly practiced using on-site fire fighting equipment such as portable fire extinguishers (CO₂, powder extinguishers), fire blankets and wall hydrants to extinguish small fires. They also practiced evacuation skills through emergency exits and experienced fire fighting and rescue formations of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force.

These experiences not only help children enthusiastically acquire knowledge but also practice reflexes in handling emergency situations, contributing to raising their sense of personal responsibility in keeping themselves and the community safe.

In addition to propaganda activities, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department guided 9 schools in Tan Thanh commune to declare basic data on fire prevention and fighting according to regulations. This activity aims to help educational institutions better understand the responsibilities of leaders in ensuring fire safety.

A series of activities to implement the coordination regulations between the Department of Education and Training, the Provincial Police and Thai Nguyen University to ensure fire safety and equip knowledge and skills on fire prevention and rescue for students in educational institutions. Contributing to creating a solid foundation for building a safe community, proactively preventing, being ready to respond and minimizing damage caused by fire and explosion.
