iPhone 17 Pro Max price keeps increasing due to out of stock

(Dan Tri) - Compared to previous years, the iPhone 17 product line has been launched early in the Vietnamese market. However, the supply of devices has not improved.

On September 19, the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air product lines were officially launched in the Vietnamese market. However, before going on sale, the iPhone 17 Pro Max version was already out of stock.

This is the first year Apple has launched iPhone sales early in the Vietnamese market. This has increased the demand for shopping among domestic customers.

Meanwhile, many Apple Authorized Resellers (AARs) said that the supply of iPhone 17 Pro Max is currently insufficient to meet market demand. The shortage has pushed up the price of iPhone 17 Pro Max in the secondary market.

Looking at iPhone buying and selling groups, it is not difficult for users to come across posts offering the iPhone 17 Pro Max for sale at a price of 43-45 million VND for the 256GB version. The 2TB version is even pushed up to 75 million VND, 11 million VND higher than the listed price.

Although Apple has launched iPhone sales in Vietnam earlier than every year, the supply of devices has not improved. The price of genuine iPhone 17 continues to be "inflated" by several million VND before reaching the hands of end users.

In fact, the problem of "overpricing" iPhones on the black market has been going on for many years. Many systems have required customers to activate the device warranty immediately upon purchase to limit the "handover" situation. However, this solution does not seem to be very effective.

As of September 19, incomplete statistics from retail systems have shown that there have been more than 200,000 orders for iPhone 17. The selling price of iPhone 17 versions ranges from 25-64 million VND. This year, the selling price of iPhone 17 has increased by 3-4 million VND compared to previous generations. iPhone 17 has a starting price of 25 million VND for the 256GB version. iPhone Air is priced from 32 million VND, while the 2TB iPhone 17 Pro Max reaches 64 million VND - a record price for an iPhone.
