In particular, for rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, the current price of IR 50404 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 5,400 - 5,600 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice fluctuates at 5,800 - 6,000; Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 6,600 - 6,800; OM 380 rice fluctuates at 6,600 - 6,700 VND/kg; OM 18 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 7,600 - 7,800 VND/kg; Nhat rice fluctuates at 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 fluctuates at 9,200 VND/kg.

In many localities today, the supply is low, and new rice transactions are still slow. In Bac Lieu , the amount of late Autumn-Winter rice is still low, and some farmers are offering Japonica rice at high prices. In An Giang, farmers are offering a good amount, concentrated in Tri Ton and Thoai Son, and fragrant rice is traded more than other types.

In Kien Giang, demand for rice is still slow, rice prices are stable. In Can Tho, demand for fragrant rice is slow, mainly offering rice 1 week to be cut again. In Long An , farmers offer stable prices, demand for rice close to the cut date is quite high, rice far from the transaction date is low.

Regarding rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, currently OM 380 raw rice fluctuates at 7,300 - 7,400 VND/kg compared to yesterday; OM 380 finished rice fluctuates at 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg; IR 504 raw rice fluctuates at 7,700 - 7,800 VND/kg compared to before Tet; IR 504 finished rice fluctuates at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg; 5451 raw rice fluctuates at 8,800 - 8,900 VND.

Regarding by-products, the prices of by-products fluctuate from 5,200 - 7,300 VND/kg. Currently, the price of broken rice fluctuates at 7,100 - 7,300 VND/kg; the price of dry bran fluctuates at 5,200 - 5,300 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Recorded in localities today, the amount of rice arriving is low, buying and selling transactions are moderate. In An Giang, buying and selling transactions are sporadic, rice prices are stable. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), the amount of rice arriving is sporadic, warehouse purchase prices have increased slightly for good rice. In Sa Dec (Dong Thap), the amount of rice arriving is low, rice quality is good, warehouse purchase is sporadic.

Sa Dec market channel (Dong Thap), transactions are sporadic, warehouses buy rice selectively; fragrant rice in small quantities is purchased regularly, prices of all types of rice are stable. At An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang), sources come in sporadic, warehouses buy slowly and prices of many types are stable, only fragrant rice has increased slightly.

At retail markets, Jasmine fragrant rice alone increased by VND2,000, fluctuating between VND20,000 and VND22,000 per kg. Rice prices of all kinds remained relatively stable compared to yesterday: Regular rice fluctuated between VND16,000 and VND17,000 per kg; Nang Nhen rice had the highest listed price of VND28,000 per kg; long-grain fragrant rice was VND20,000 and VND22,000 per kg; Huong Lai rice was VND22,000 per kg; common white rice was VND17,000 per kg; Nang Hoa rice was VND22,000 per kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice was VND21,000 per kg; Soc rice was usually VND18,000 per kg; Soc Thai rice was VND21,000 per kg; Japanese rice was VND22,000 per kg.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices continued to decrease slightly today compared to mid-week. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 399 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 371 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is at 313 USD/ton.
