The rice market in localities in the Mekong Delta today in general, purchasing power of warehouses slowed down, warehouses paid low prices.

In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), warehouse purchases are good, prices are stagnant, and there is little good rice, anchored high. In Sa Dec (Dong Thap), there is no rice, warehouse purchases are regular, and market prices are slow.

At retail markets, rice prices have not been adjusted for individual rice products. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; Jasmine rice is VND18,000 - VND20,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice is VND20,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates around VND15,000 - VND16,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice is VND20,000 - VND21,000/kg; Huong jasmine rice is VND20,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice is VND21,000/kg; common white rice is VND17,000/kg; regular Soc rice is VND18,500/kg; Thai Soc rice is VND20,000/kg; Japanese rice is VND22,000/kg.

Regarding rice, it is noted that in localities, dry sticky rice prices have increased, demand is quite good, prices are high, warehouses continue to demand Dai Thom rice, traders are slow to release goods, and offer high prices. In Can Tho, farmers offer a lot of goods, transactions are slow. In An Giang, rice prices are stable, and supplies are limited. In Kien Giang , rice prices are stable, traders ask to buy a lot, mainly buying rice near the harvest date.

Specifically, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, today's rice prices have been adjusted compared to yesterday, IR 50404 prices fluctuate around 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg, an increase of 300 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice is at 8,400 - 8,500 VND/kg, an increase of 100 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice is at 8,000 - 8,200 VND/kg; OM 18 rice is at 8,500 - 8,700 VND/kg, an increase of 200 VND/kg; OM 380 fluctuates from 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg; Japanese rice is at 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg and Nang Nhen rice (dry) is at 20,000 VND/kg.

Accordingly, the glutinous rice market recorded no adjustment compared to yesterday. IR 4625 glutinous rice (fresh) 7,800 - 7,900 VND/kg stable compared to yesterday. An Giang glutinous rice (fresh) 7,000 - 7,200 VND/kg, unchanged compared to yesterday.

Regarding rice, the price of rice recorded an adjustment compared to yesterday. Specifically, IR 504 summer-autumn raw rice increased to 11,750 - 11,900 VND/kg, an increase of 50 - 100 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice remained at 13,850 - 13,900 VND/kg, an increase of 50 - 100 VND/kg.

By-products today recorded no adjustment compared to yesterday. Currently, the price of OM 5451 broken rice remains at 9,500 - 9,600 VND/kg; the price of dry bran remains at 7,200 - 7,300 VND/kg.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices recorded an adjustment compared to yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), 100% broken rice was at 440 USD/ton; 5% broken standard rice was at 575 USD/ton, up 5 USD; 25% broken rice was at 539 USD/ton.
