Hanoi: Fire in adjacent house, 2 victims died

At nearly 5:00 p.m. on June 17, the Hanoi City Police Command Information Center received a report of an explosion and fire at the townhouse 08-TT35 (Van Phu Urban Area, Ha Dong District, Hanoi City).

Immediately afterwards, the Command Information Center mobilized the local team on fire prevention, fighting and rescue in Ha Dong district, the fire prevention and rescue team of area 4 (under the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department) dispatched dozens of officers, soldiers and 4 fire trucks to the scene.

The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department also mobilized two more command vehicles and vehicle transport vehicles to the scene to participate in fire fighting.

Authorities discovered cylindrical tubes suspected to be fireworks used for event organization on fire.

By 5:40 p.m. the same day, the fire was extinguished. The forces found 2 victims, handed them over to the medical team and confirmed their deaths.

Through verification at the scene, the townhouse is 4 stories high, about 70m2/floor in area ^, reinforced concrete structure. The explosion area on the 4th floor contains tube-shaped combustion products (suspected to be fireworks for event organization).
