Hanoi offers free bus and metro tickets on National Day September 2

The Hanoi People's Committee has approved the exemption of bus and metro fares for residents and tourists on the occasion of National Day, September 2, from August 30 to September 2.

On August 23, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen signed and issued a document to relevant units regarding free bus and metro tickets for people and tourists on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2.

Specifically, considering the proposal of the Department of Finance and the Department of Construction in Document No. 10990 dated August 21 on exempting bus and metro fares for people and tourists on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day from August 30 to September 2, the City People's Committee directs:

Approved the policy of free bus and metro fares for people and tourists from August 30 to September 2.

At the same time, the Department of Construction is assigned to preside over, direct and coordinate with the Hanoi Traffic Management and Operation Center, public passenger transport service providers by subsidized buses and Hanoi Railway Company Limited to deploy implementation plans to ensure safety, meaning and efficiency to best serve the travel needs of people and tourists.

In addition, it is necessary to monitor the number of passengers, promptly adjust and increase frequency, trips, and operating time to serve people and tourists in case of increased travel demand.

"There is a plan to strictly control and be responsible for the accuracy of the number of free tickets used for payment and settlement of subsidy funds according to regulations" - Hanoi People's Committee requested.

6 fireworks displays will be launched on the night of September 2 in Hanoi

On the occasion of September 2, Hanoi has 5 firing points including 6 high-altitude fireworks combined with low-altitude and pyrotechnics. High-altitude fireworks combined with low-altitude and pyrotechnics at 2 locations, location number 1 in front of the headquarters of the Hanoi Moi newspaper, location number 2 in front of the Hanoi Post Office , Hoan Kiem ward.

Hanoi also organized high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks displays at 4 locations. Location 3 at Coconut Island, Thong Nhat Park, Hai Ba Trung Ward; Location 4 in front of the Water Sports Palace, National Sports Complex, Tu Liem Ward; Location 5 at Lac Long Quan Flower Garden, Tay Ho Ward; Location 6 at Van Quan Lake, Ha Dong Ward.
