Two EVNNPT working groups are ready to be on duty at the eye of storm No. 3.

(Chinhphu.vn) - To proactively respond to the emergency situation of storm No. 3 (WIPHA), on the morning of July 21, the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) sent two working groups to the storm center to urge and implement storm prevention and control measures to ensure the safety of the power transmission grid system.

Working Group No. 1 led by Mr. Pham Le Phu, General Director of EVNNPT, along with leaders of EVNNPT's professional departments and Director of Power Transmission Company 1 - Nguyen Phuc An, was on duty in Quang Ninh and Hai Phong city.

The second working group was led by Mr. Luu Viet Tien, Deputy General Director, along with leaders of EVNNPT's professional departments and Deputy Director of Power Transmission Company 1 - Hoang Xuan Khoi, on duty in Ninh Binh and Hung Yen .

Assigning two working groups to be on duty and command on-site to quickly and promptly handle any storms that impact the power transmission grid.

EVNNPT said that according to reports from units, as of the evening of July 20, 2025, all preparations for responding to storm No. 3 had been completed by EVNNPT's affiliated units. Currently, 100% of the power line and transformer station teams are on duty at the unit headquarters to be ready to respond when there is an emergency.

During the inspection on the morning of July 21, EVNNPT leaders said that storm No. 3 forecasted a strong storm with a complex trajectory, requiring units to be highly focused and not to be subjective or negligent in the face of the storm.

At the same time, prepare all human resources, materials, equipment and machinery to immediately handle incidents when electrical safety conditions are met.

EVNNPT leaders also noted that after the storm passes, there will be a storm circulation that can cause prolonged heavy rain, so during operation, special attention must be paid to the safety of people and equipment.

Previously, EVNNPT issued a dispatch to its affiliated units requesting them to strictly implement on-duty work, fully prepare materials, human resources, vehicles, machinery and urgently deploy plans to proactively respond to storm No. 3 (WIPHA) and storm circulation.
