According to VTC News reporters, the Marriott Hoi An Resort & Spa project (Cam An ward, Hoi An city) invested by Phat Dat Quang Ngai Tourism and Hotel Joint Stock Company (Phat Dat Company) was granted a land use right certificate by the People's Committee of Quang Nam province in 2008.

By 2018, Phat Dat Company was granted a construction permit by the Department of Construction of Quang Nam province to implement a project with an area of ​​33,000m2.

The project includes the following items: 8 blocks with 250 rooms, 1 conference area with about 1,000 seats, 1 gym, 1 spa area, 1 administrative area, 1 restaurant area, 1 technical block and 2 swimming pools.

On June 1, 2022, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province agreed to adjust the completion schedule, putting the Marriott Hoi An Resort & Spa project into operation by September 2023.
