Military Technical Academy welcomes more than 900 students

GD&TĐ - On September 17, the Military Technical Academy held the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year, welcoming 364 students of Course 61 and 600 civilian students of Course 18.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Le Minh Thai - Director of the Military Technical Academy affirmed that education and training always play a fundamental role in human development, improving people's knowledge, training high-quality human resources, promoting science and technology, innovation and affirming national position.

Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthrough in education and training development identifies “education and training as the top national policy, deciding the future of the nation”, placing this field at the center of the national development strategy, creating the foundation for all pillars, from economy, science and technology, national defense, security to culture and international integration.

Over nearly 60 years of construction and development, the Military Technical Academy has affirmed its position through achievements in training, scientific research and international cooperation.

The 2025-2026 school year takes place in the context of the Politburo issuing two important resolutions: Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in education and training development, and Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation development. These are strategic orientations that open a new era, posing both political responsibilities and opportunities for the Academy to grow strongly.

Lieutenant General Le Minh Thai hopes that students will continue to nurture their pride in wearing the uniform of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", respect traditional values, nurture their passion for scientific research, and train their bravery and self-study spirit.

Entering the 2025-2026 school year, Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong - Deputy Minister of National Defense suggested that the Military Technical Academy should focus on implementing a number of contents well; in which it is necessary to concentrate resources, create mechanisms and policies to make breakthroughs in developing science, technology and innovation.

Building the Party Committee of the Academy strong in politics, ideology, ethics, organization and staff, the Academy is strong in all aspects, "exemplary and typical", meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

Along with that, effectively implement the Academy Development Planning Project to 2030, vision to 2045 (2026-2030 period); the coordination and linkage program between the Academy and agencies and units inside and outside the Army.

On the occasion of the opening ceremony, the Military Technical Academy organized a program to welcome new students of the civilian system. In 2015, the Academy was assigned by the Ministry of National Defense to train the civilian system, focusing on high-tech and emerging technologies, which are also the traditional strengths of the school. This year, 578 students were admitted, studying in 8 majors with 10 majors.
