This morning, June 27, candidates taking the high school graduation exam under the 2018 program will take elective subjects, while candidates taking the 2006 program will take a combination exam.

According to regulations, in this year's high school graduation exam, in addition to literature and math, each candidate studying the 2018 general education program will take two subjects of choice from among physics, chemistry, biology, information technology, history, geography, economic and legal education, and foreign languages.

Meanwhile, candidates taking the 2006 general education program will take a combined test. Each candidate will take one combined test out of two tests: natural sciences and social sciences. In the afternoon, candidates taking the 2006 general education program will take the final test, which is a foreign language.

Candidates who have not graduated from high school will have to take both elective subjects (for candidates studying the 2018 program) and a combined exam (all 3 components) on the morning of June 27.

Independent candidates who have graduated from high school and only take the exam to get university admission scores can choose to take the exam based on the questions of one of the two programs and can only take the component subjects (in the combined exam) or the elective subjects (according to the 2018 program) suitable for the admission combination.

Candidates taking the 2018 exam must be present from the beginning of the exam. After finishing the first elective exam, candidates will rest for 15 minutes in their seats before taking the second exam.

In case candidates take the exam according to the 2018 program and only take the second or third subject, they must still be present from the beginning of the exam time and wait in the exam waiting room.

Candidates taking the 2006 program only need to be present 10 minutes before the exam time of the subject they have registered for. In case they take all the subjects, they will also rest in place between exams with a break of 10 minutes.

For the geography exam, candidates taking the 2006 program are allowed to bring a geography atlas into the exam room and use it during the exam. Candidates taking the 2018 program are not allowed to bring a geography atlas into the exam room.

For multiple-choice exams, candidates must remember to fill in all information including exam code, registration number, etc. before taking the exam and comply with the exam time and submission time according to exam regulations.

Due to the complexity of this year’s exam (there are two groups of candidates, two sets of exam questions, candidates in one exam room can take many different subjects), candidates need to follow the instructions of the invigilators.
