On December 11, the Management Board of Traffic Construction Investment Projects of Binh Thuan province announced that it had a preliminary plan for the coastal route through Phan Thiet city and the Ca Ty and Phu Hai river overpasses.

Currently, the coastal route in Binh Thuan has a number of sections invested and put into operation, including Lien Huong - Binh Thanh route (5.8 km), Song Luy bridge section - Hoa Thang (23 km), DT.706B (16.4 km), DT.706B - Hung Vuong bridge (4 km), DT.719 Ke Ga - Tan Thien section (32.5 km) and the section through La Gi town (6 km).

The project is constructing the DT.719B section of Phan Thiet - Ke Ga (25.6 km) and the Hon Lan - Tan Hai section (8.7 km). The Management Board of Traffic Construction Investment Projects of Binh Thuan province is also proposing the Central Government to support capital from the Central budget to invest in the sections of Phan Ri Cua - Binh Thanh (about 16.5 km) and Tan Thang - Thang Hai (about 12.5 km).

However, investment in building coastal roads in the central area of ​​Phan Thiet City is still very limited. Most tourism projects occupy the entire sea space, the area of ​​beaches and coastal parks serving the public is very small. Some narrow coastal traffic areas do not ensure traffic safety and fire prevention and fighting, greatly affecting people's lives, causing loss of urban beauty.

Once completed, the route will create an important driving force to promote socio-economic development, attracting investment in the fields of tourism, services, real estate and logistics...

According to the Management Board of Traffic Construction Investment Projects of Binh Thuan Province, the addition of planning and investment in the construction of the coastal road in the center of Phan Thiet City combined with the addition of coastal land fund, forming a modern, airy coastal park, creating a highlight and symbol for Phan Thiet is very necessary.

Therefore, the Management Board of Traffic Construction Investment Projects of Binh Thuan province proposed to plan a coastal route through Phan Thiet with the starting point connecting to the roundabout of DT.706B road in Phu Hai ward, the end point intersecting with DT.719 road at Cambodia slope in Tien Thanh commune.

The total length of the route is about 14.6 km. Of which, section 1 (Km 0 - Km 5+230) is about 5.23 km long including the Phu Hai River overpass, section 2 (Km 5+230 - Km 6+210) is about 0.98 km long from Ton That Tung Street to Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, section 3 (Km 6+210 - Km 6+765) is about 0.55 km long from Nguyen Tat Thanh Street to Le Loi Street, section 4 (Km 6+765 - Km 11+620) is about 4.85 km long including the Ca Ty River overpass, section 5 (Km 11+620 - Km 14+600) is about 2.98 km long.

The project has a total investment of more than 9,600 billion VND. In the period 2026 - 2030, the first section of the route to the end of Doi Duong park (including sections 1, 2, 3 and Phu Hai bridge) will be invested in. In the period 2031 - 2035, the remaining sections will be invested in (including sections 4, 5 and the Ca Ty river overpass).

According to the leader of the People's Committee of Phan Thiet City, the planning and investment in the construction of a coastal route through Phan Thiet will complete Phan Thiet's traffic network, creating a continuous and synchronous connection between coastal areas.

Upon completion, the completed coastal route will enhance accessibility and connectivity between residential areas, tourist areas and key economic zones in Binh Thuan province, not only improving people's mobility but also helping businesses and investors easily exploit the potential of the area.
