Opening of the National Youth Table Tennis Tournament: Finding talent for long-term goals

At Dong Nai Provincial Gymnasium, the 2025 National Table Tennis Tournament for Outstanding Young, Teenage, and Children has just officially opened, attracting the participation of 21 delegations and more than 250 athletes from provinces and cities across the country.

The tournament lasts from August 23 to August 31, 2025, promising dramatic and exciting matches. The 2025 National Table Tennis Tournament for Outstanding Young, Junior, and Children is one of the important tournaments in the national sports competition system, gathering elite athletes, selected from the 2025 National Youth and Children Championship. The competition contents include men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles, with a total of 34 sets of medals to be awarded to the best athletes.

Developing youth table tennis, aiming for long-term goals

The tournament is not only an opportunity for young players to compete, but also a place to exchange and learn, helping athletes improve their professional skills, contributing to the development of table tennis in Vietnam.

The 2025 National Table Tennis Tournament for Outstanding Young, Teenage, and Children's Players attracted more than 250 athletes to participate.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Loan, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Nai province, said: "The 2025 National Table Tennis Tournament for Outstanding Young, Teenage and Children is an important event, attracting the attention of many sports fans. Dong Nai is honored to host this tournament, in a special context when the province has completed the major policies of the Party and State on reforming the apparatus and local government".

She also emphasized: "Table tennis is a sport in the Olympic competition system, with a strong development movement across the country, contributing to the development of the national sports career."

The tournament was held in Dong Nai.

This year’s tournament brings together more than 300 athletes from 20 provinces, cities and sectors nationwide. This is an opportunity for athletes to showcase their talents, compete and learn from strong opponents. The exciting matches promise to bring many surprises and create a premise for the sustainable development of Vietnamese table tennis in the future.
