Opening of Safe Agricultural Products Festival

On the morning of October 9, at the Song Van safe agricultural products store, Dong Thanh ward, Ninh Binh city, the Safe Agricultural Products Club (Provincial Farmers' Association) organized the Safe Agricultural Products Festival.

Attending the opening ceremony were representatives of the Provincial Farmers' Association; the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Farmers' Associations of districts and cities; owners of safe agricultural product stores in the province and safe agricultural product producers.

The Safe Agricultural Products Club currently has 56 members. Over the past time, the Club members have actively expanded their business and production, helping many workers have stable jobs; the production, processing and trading facilities of safe agricultural products have stable output and effective business.

The Safe Agricultural Products Club has taken the lead in the movement of Ninh Binh farmers saying no to plastic bags and disposable plastic products.

Up to now, in the province, 23 stores have put up signs at the point of sale restricting the use of plastic bags and single-use plastic products.

The festival has a scale of more than 50 booths with the participation of units from Farmers' Associations at all levels in Ninh Binh province and some other provinces, businesses, cooperatives, start-up models of farmers, and business households in and outside the province.

The festival is held to introduce, promote and strengthen connections for the consumption of safe agricultural products.

Thereby, attracting attention and raising social awareness about the role of the Farmers' Association in the socio -economic development of the locality.

Delegates visited the booth of members of the Safe Agricultural Products Club.

The festival is also a place to honor, promote, introduce and consume typical products of local farmers with production, processing and business activities, contributing to increasing product value.

At the Festival, many agricultural products produced and processed from farmer start-up models were introduced and sold at booths.

The festival is an opportunity for producers, safe agricultural product stores and farmers in the province to find customers and cooperate for mutual development.

During the festival, the Safe Agricultural Products Club admitted 11 new members.

Representatives of the Provincial Farmers' Association awarded the second prize of the Cooking Contest organized by the Asian Farmers' Association to the winner.
