Opening of Cultural Week

Comrade Duong Anh Duc, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee delivered the opening speech at the Northwest Culture - Tourism Week in Ho Chi Minh City.

In his opening speech, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Duong Anh Duc emphasized: "The Northwest Culture - Tourism Week in Ho Chi Minh City is a place where cultural colors converge and meet, an opportunity to connect cultural and tourism products, contributing to promoting the connection and development of Dien Bien - Northwest tourism with the whole country and internationally. At the same time, promoting potential strengths, attracting investment, building unique tourism products, creating a step forward and consolidating and enhancing the cooperation between the Northwest provinces and Ho Chi Minh City".

The Northwest Culture and Tourism Week in Ho Chi Minh City takes place from December 4 to 7 with a series of unique and attractive cultural activities such as: Experiencing the culture of the Thai, Mong, and Dao ethnic communities; experiencing the Tang Cau ritual of the Thai ethnic group in Son La; the art program "Colors of Son La - Northwest"; street cultural parade with the theme "Dien Bien - Convergence of Colors"; photo exhibition; activities to display and introduce culture, tourism, trade, and agriculture of Son La and Dien Bien provinces...

At the opening ceremony, delegates and audiences enjoyed an art program with the theme “Vietnam, a wonderful country”. The program was divided into 3 chapters, with about 20 performances with the participation of more than 250 actors from Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of Son La, Dien Bien, and Ha Giang.
