Just the other day, when I met Mr. Tran Hoang Tuan, the Standing Vice Chairman in charge of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province, I heard him say that Quang Ngai province has a policy to move the Provincial Museum to the foot of But mountain, and will open Pham Van Dong street running straight to the south bank of Tra Khuc river. Thus, if standing from An mountain looking straight towards But mountain, we will see a straight line above, corresponding to the extended Pham Van Dong street.

Listening to Mr. Tuan, I was so happy. So the sincere suggestion of the Hanoi architect from many years ago will now be implemented. And not only moving the museum, Quang Ngai province will build a green park, a beautiful square right at the foot of But mountain.

Particularly, But Mountain, sacred and close to Quang Ngai people for generations, will also be restored. Calling But Mountain “Thien But Phe Van” (the pen of heaven writing on the clouds), the “pen” is nothing more than green trees. But on But Mountain, precious woods, trees that can live for hundreds of years or even thousands of years, must be planted. Not acacia trees on But Mountain as someone once thought.

Now, Quang Ngai province has built a 1/500 planning project for Thien But park area. Overall, this project is suitable for the implementation capacity of Quang Ngai province. When adding the Provincial Museum, Provincial Library, tower on top of Thien But mountain, precious trees planted around the tower... into the planning, the project is large but reasonable, not scattered in architectural planning but synchronous, if asking for people's opinions, it will certainly be supported. Because everyone wants Quang Ngai city to be fundamentally beautiful after many years of lacking public utilities.

The project proposes a solution to restore the Cham tower on the top of Thien But mountain to promote cultural and historical values, protect relics, improve the mountain landscape, and create a highlight to attract visitors and tourists .

Regarding the Cham tower symbol on the top of Thien But, the restoration must carefully study the history. For many centuries, thousands of years ago, the land of Quang Ngai was once home to the Cham people. Later, they mixed their blood with the Vietnamese people to create the "Quang Ngai people" as they are today.

Therefore, the Cham tower on the top of Thien But will be restored standing among the ancient green trees (in the future 20 years) including precious wood trees. The canopy of precious wood trees will spread its shadow to the sky like a "pen" writing on the white clouds. It is also a symbol of the future for education, for the intellectual achievements of Quang Ngai children.

It seems that between “The Seal of Heaven” (Thien An) and “The Pen of Heaven” (Thien But), Quang Ngai people will choose the Pen, because it is a symbol of knowledge, of modern science, of the path to develop Quang Ngai in science, culture, technology, literature and art. Exactly like the bright path that our whole country is on and will be on.

From a suggestion about the beautiful urban landscape on Pham Van Dong street more than 20 years ago by an architect who loves Quang Ngai, now Quang Ngai has gone further to make Quang Ngai city more beautiful, richer, and more attractive.

Not only attracting tourists, but also attracting scientists, technologists, cultural figures, and great artists to gather in Quang Ngai City to contribute their hearts, efforts, and talents to make Quang Ngai truly rich and beautiful, happy and humane.
