Accordingly, from September 9-10, in many areas in Lam Dong province, there was heavy rain, some places very heavy rain with whirlwinds.

In Dong Gia Nghia ward, the landslide caused soil to flow over and cover a wooden house of about 25 square ^meters and overflow the foundation of a household's house about 3 meters; 5 commercial durian trees; about 20 third-year commercial coffee trees and a number of other crops were damaged.

In the wards of Lam Vien - Da Lat, Xuan Huong - Da Lat and Lang Biang - Da Lat, heavy rains led to a number of houses in residential areas being affected and flooded. Currently, the localities are conducting specific statistics.

In particular , heavy rain caused flooding on Phan Dinh Phung Street (Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat) with an average depth of 0.3-0.6m and local flooding in the Phan Dinh Phung stream area. On Le Van Tam Street, some amount of soil and rock spilled onto the road, obstructing traffic.

In Nam Gia Nghia ward, prolonged heavy rain caused a landslide in residential group 6, about 50m from the residential road, about 2km from the Community College. The landslide was on the land of 4 households, the landslide area was about 1,000m ² , the volume of soil was about 900m ³ .

There is still a large area of ​​land at high risk of further landslides if the rain continues. The extent of the damage is being checked and determined by local authorities.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment said that after the natural disaster, the localities directed the Commune Civil Defense Command, relevant departments, agencies, units and the Village Self-Management Committees to proactively implement the "4 on-the-spot" measures. At the same time, they quickly resolved the consequences of natural disasters in the area, put up warning signs, stretched ropes and barricaded dangerous areas.

The authorities also recommend that people absolutely must not be negligent or subjective, and must closely monitor warning bulletins and forecasts of natural disasters and weather to regularly notify and promptly guide people to proactively prevent and minimize damage caused by bad weather phenomena, especially subsidence and landslides.

At the same time, mobilize the people and local forces to clear bushes and clear waterways to minimize local flooding; organize inspections and statistics of damage to promptly support or propose damage support for people, helping people quickly stabilize their lives...

In Dong Gia Nghia Ward, the Ward Civil Defense Command has put up warning ropes and signs in areas at risk of landslides. The locality also requires households to stay indoors and have plans to evacuate people to safe places; coordinate and support the movement of valuables and belongings out of areas at risk of landslides; assign some comrades from the Ward Military Command to be on duty nearby and report promptly.

In the coming time, the leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment requested all localities to continue to maintain 24/24h duty; proactively notify and warn local authorities and people in time to prevent and avoid possible damage.

Affected and damaged localities continue to review and report specific damage and impact situations in the area, and support people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters according to regulations.

Rainfall measured from 7:00 p.m. on September 9 to 4:00 p.m. on September 10 in some areas such as: Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat is 92.8mm; Song Luy Commune: 86.4mm; Son Dien Commune: 81mm; Bac Gia Nghia Ward: 80.6mm; Hoa Bac Commune: 67.6mm; Tuy Duc Commune: 67.6mm... It is forecasted that in the coming hours, the areas of wards and communes will continue to have rain. Accumulated rainfall in wards and communes is generally 30 - 50mm, in some places over 60mm.
