Inauguration ceremony of Uncle Ho statue in Da Nang

This will be a unique cultural address, contributing to educating patriotic traditions, arousing the spirit of learning, promoting the reading movement and developing reading culture in the community, especially the young generation.

On August 28, at the campus of Da Nang Library (Hai Chau ward), the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Civil, Industrial and Technical Infrastructure Works of Da Nang coordinated with relevant agencies to organize the inauguration ceremony of the statue of Uncle Ho.

Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang emphasized that the project is an event of profound political and cultural significance; expressing the affection, gratitude and respect of the Party Committee, government and people of the city for President Ho Chi Minh - the great leader of the Vietnamese people, national liberation hero, world cultural celebrity of Vietnam.

The project is implemented according to Decision No. 2695/QD-UBND dated December 3, 2024 of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, with a total investment of more than 14.7 billion VND, built on an area of ​​3,041m2.

The statue of Uncle Ho is carved from white marble, depicting him reading a book - located in the center of the campus.

Behind the statue is a relief depicting the image of Khue Van Cac - a symbol of Vietnamese wisdom and tradition of learning. On both sides are images of Ngu Hanh Son - a prominent cultural and historical symbol of Da Nang. The overall relief shows the harmony between humans and nature.

The surrounding landscape space is designed in sync with trees, lawns, walkways and outdoor reading areas.

The project belongs to group C, level II, with the Danang Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Civil, Industrial and Technical Infrastructure Works as the investor, management and supervision unit.

The project is scheduled to be completed on August 20, 2025.

The completion of the project is a practical activity to welcome the 23rd Congress of the Da Nang City Party Committee, term 2025-2030; towards the 14th National Congress of the Party and the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025)./.
