On January 6, the Lebanese Prime Minister warned of the outbreak of conflict in the region, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the completion of the destruction of Hamas military structures in North Gaza, and three African countries denied having negotiations with Israel on the resettlement of Palestinians in these countries.

According to Al Jazeera TV channel, on January 6, Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati warned that any escalation in the south of the country would lead to a "full-scale conflict" in the region.
Mr. Najib Mikati emphasized that to implement the United Nations Resolution No. 1701 on ending the Israel-Lebanon conflict, it is necessary to prevent Israel's violations of Lebanese sovereignty and require Israel to withdraw from the occupied territories of Lebanon.
In addition, Mr. Mikati called for "a comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue by granting Palestinians their legitimate rights."
The warning was made during a meeting between Prime Minister Najib Mikati and High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the European Union (EU), and Vice President of the European Commission Josep Borrell.
On January 6, according to the Times of Israel , the IDF said it had completed the destruction of Hamas "military structures" in the northern Gaza Strip.
Speaking at a press conference, IDF spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said the Israeli military is now focused on destroying Hamas in central and southern Gaza. The IDF also announced that Ismail Siraj, commander of Hamas' Nuseirat battalion, and his deputy Ahmed Wahaba were killed in an airstrike in the Gaza Strip.
The Nuseirat Battalion is the force that carried out massacres in Israeli border communities near Gaza on October 7, 2023.
According to Al Jazeera TV channel on January 6, Rwanda, Chad and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) denied information about negotiations with Israel to relocate Palestinians from Gaza to these countries.
“No such discussion has taken place now or in the past and the misinformation should be ignored,” Rwanda’s foreign ministry said in a statement.
