Fresh rice price turns down

In particular, for rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, the current price of OM 18 rice (fresh) decreased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating at 6,300 - 6,600 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) decreased by 100 VND, fluctuating at 6,300 - 6,600 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 6,000 VND/kg; IR 50404 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 5,500 - 5,700 VND/kg; OM 380 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 5,000 - 5,200 VND/kg; Nhat rice was at 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 rice was at 9,200 VND/kg.

In many localities today, the volume of rice is better, but the buying and selling is slow. In An Giang, there is more flat rice than stable rice, with a good demand for fragrant rice and IR50404. In Kien Giang , rice trading is better, with the price of some types of rice increasing slightly by 50 VND/kg.

In Dong Thap, rice transactions are slow, rice prices of all kinds are relatively stable. In Soc Trang , farmers offer steady sales, rice harvest is better, transactions are slow. In Can Tho, demand for rice is sporadic, rice prices are relatively stable.

Similar to rice, according to an update from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, currently OM 380 raw rice fluctuates at 7,500 - 7,650 VND/kg; OM 18 raw rice fluctuates at 9,200 - 9,400 VND; IR 504 raw rice fluctuates at 8,000 - 8,100 VND/kg; 5451 raw rice fluctuates at 8,500 - 8,600 VND/kg; OM 380 finished rice fluctuates at 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice fluctuates at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg.

Regarding by-products, the prices of by-products fluctuate from 5,550 to 7,300 VND/kg. Currently, the price of fragrant rice bran fluctuates at 7,100 to 7,300 VND/kg; the price of dry bran fluctuates at 5,550 to 5,700 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Recorded in localities today, rice has arrived in good quantity, price is relatively stable. In Sa Dec (Dong Thap), rice has arrived in good quantity, equal rice demand is high, market channels buy a good quantity of IR50404 and fragrant rice; raw rice of all kinds is stable in price. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), rice has arrived in good quantity, price is stable, buying and selling transactions are flourishing.

Sa Dec market canal (Dong Thap), rice arrives at the docks in large quantities, market warehouses buy regularly, select good rice and offer stable prices. At An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang), rice is available sporadically, transactions are slow, most choose VIP goods to buy back, prices are stable.

At retail markets, rice prices of all kinds are stable compared to yesterday. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates at VND15,000-16,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at VND20,000-22,000/kg; Huong Lai rice 22,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at VND18,000-20,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice 22,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice 21,000/kg; common white rice 17,000/kg; Soc regular rice fluctuates at VND18,000/kg; Soc Thai rice 21,000/kg; Japanese rice 22,000/kg.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices today remained unchanged compared to yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 393 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 367 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is at 310 USD/ton.
