Regarding rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the current price of Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) increased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating at 6,500 - 6,600 VND/kg; OM 18 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 6,400 - 6,500 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 5,700 - 5,900 VND/kg; IR 50404 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 5,500 - 5,600 VND/kg; OM 380 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 5,000 - 5,200 VND/kg; Nhat rice was at 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 rice was at 9,200 VND/kg.

In many localities today, the supply is better, buying and selling transactions are steady. In Dong Thap, farmers tend to offer prices for all types of rice, rice transactions are steady, traders close the purchase price. In Soc Trang , farmers offer rice for sale increas- ing, buying and selling transactions are slow.

In Hau Giang, farmers offered good prices, prices increased, demand was weak. In An Giang, farmers offered prices increased by a few dong, rice prices were relatively stable compared to the weekend, new rice transactions were regular. In Kien Giang , farmers offered prices increased, rice was harvested in full swing in Tan Hiep, Giong Rieng, transactions were better than the weekend.

Regarding by-products, the prices of by-products fluctuate from 5,550 to 7,300 VND/kg. Currently, the price of fragrant broken rice fluctuates at 7,100 - 7,300 VND/kg; broken rice 3-4 increased by 200 VND/kg, fluctuating at 6,600 - 6,700/kg; the price of dry bran fluctuates at 5,550 - 5,700 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Recorded in localities today, small quantity, rice price fluctuates little. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), quantity is steady, warehouse purchase is good, good rice, easy to sell to customers, stable price.

Sa Dec market channel (Dong Thap), the warehouse buys a fair amount of all types of rice, the warehouse buys IR50404 rice, prices of all types are stable. At An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang), rice is available slowly, the price of fragrant rice has increased slightly, demand is slow.

At retail markets, the prices of all types of rice remained the same as at the end of the week. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates at VND15,000-16,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at VND20,000-22,000/kg; Huong Lai rice 22,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at VND18,000-20,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice 22,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice 21,000/kg; common white rice 17,000/kg; Soc regular rice fluctuates at VND18,000/kg; Soc Thai rice 21,000/kg; Japanese rice 22,000/kg.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices today are stable compared to the weekend. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 389 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 364 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is at 307 USD/ton.
