(Dan Tri) - A series of students at a top university in Ho Chi Minh City are expected to be forced to drop out and receive academic warnings.
According to information from Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, a series of full-time students of this school are expected to be forced to drop out or receive academic warning due to poor academic results in the second semester of the 2023-2024 school year.

Specifically, according to the list, there are 41 cases of students expected to be forced to leave school because they have been warned twice in a row. Specifically, these students were warned for poor results in the first and second semesters of the 2023-2024 school year.
In addition, 75 students are expected to receive academic warning due to poor results in the second semester of the 2023-2024 school year.
According to the regulations of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, students are given academic warning based on the following conditions:
- The total number of credits not achieved in a semester exceeds 50% of the registered credits in the semester, or the total number of credits outstanding from the beginning of the course exceeds 24 credits;
- Semester average score is below 0.80 for the first semester of the course, below 1.0 for the following semesters;
- Cumulative GPA below 1.2 for first-year students, below 1.4 for second-year students, below 1.6 for third-year students or below 1.8 for students in subsequent years.

Students are forced to drop out of school in the following cases: Having two consecutive academic warnings; Having study time exceeding the prescribed limit.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Law is one of the top universities in Ho Chi Minh City with a high annual entrance standard score. In 2024, the standard score to enter the school based on high school graduation scores ranges from 22.56 to 27.27 points.
