More than 150 doctors with practice certificates, working at public health facilities as appraisers, expected to be appointed appraisers by the Medical Appraisal Council at all levels, along with a team of doctors performing medical appraisals, attended the class.

More than 150 doctors who are appraisers and are expected to be appointed appraisers will attend training courses on medical appraisal expertise and skills.

Attending the opening ceremony of the training course were Dr. Hoang Minh Thuy, Director of the Institute of Medical Assessment, Vice President of the Central Medical Assessment Council I; Dr. Pham Thai Ha, Deputy Director of the Institute of Medical Assessment, Standing Member of the Central Medical Assessment Council I; Dr. Tran Quang Khoa, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Health, Chairman of the Provincial Medical Assessment Council.

At the training course, experts from the Central Institute of Medical Appraisal introduced key contents on appraisal work, including: medical appraisal procedures; principles of assessing the extent of bodily injury due to injury, illness and occupational disease ; instructions on applying relevant legal documents such as Joint Circular No. 28/2013/TTLT-BYT-BLDTBXH on the rate of bodily injury due to injury and illness; Circular No. 15/2016/TT-BYT regulating occupational diseases covered by social insurance; Circular No. 02/2023/TT-BYT supplementing a number of articles of Circular 15/2016/TT-BYT.

BSCKII. Pham Thai Ha, Deputy Director of the Institute of Medical Assessment, Standing Member of the Central Medical Assessment Council I, presented key contents on medical assessment at the training class.

Through the training course, trainees will consolidate their knowledge, update legal regulations, improve their appraisal skills, and gradually meet the appraisal standards according to Circular No. 01/2023/TT-BYT of the Ministry of Health . This is also an important basis for improving the capacity and effectiveness of medical appraisal activities in the coming time.

Speaking at the training course, Dr. Tran Quang Khoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Health, Chairman of the Provincial Medical Assessment Council, emphasized: Medical assessment plays a particularly important role in social life, contributing to protecting the legitimate rights of workers, participants of social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance and other regimes and policies according to regulations. Assessment results are also a scientific and objective basis for management agencies, insurance agencies and relevant organizations and individuals to implement social security policies in a fair, transparent and effective manner.
