Up to now, Can Loc district ( Ha Tinh ) has harvested more than 100 hectares of summer-autumn rice, and it is expected that the locality will complete the harvest before September 10.

In the summer-autumn crop of 2023, Can Loc will plant nearly 9,000 hectares of rice, of which more than 3,200 hectares are for concentrated production. This year, the district will continue to use key varieties suitable for the locality, with outstanding advantages in productivity and quality such as: Nep 98, Ha Phat 3, Bac Thinh, Huong Binh...

According to data from the district's Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, up to now, the whole district has harvested more than 100 hectares of rice, concentrated in the localities: Vuong Loc, Khanh Vinh Yen, Tung Loc, Dong Loc...

According to initial assessment, although the weather was unfavorable from the beginning of the season due to prolonged heat, with close guidance and timely recommendations from the professional sector, people focused on planting on schedule and taking care according to technical procedures, so the 2023 summer-autumn rice crop still grew well. It is expected that the average yield of the whole district will reach 53.48 quintals/ha (in the 2022 summer-autumn crop, the rice yield of the whole district will reach 53.31 quintals/ha).

With the motto "green house is better than old field", from now on, Can Loc will speed up the summer-autumn rice harvest, the peak is around September 5.

To facilitate people during the harvesting process, the district has also directed localities to count the number of harvesters operating in the area to work with machine owners on temporary residence registration; agree on prices, harvesting areas and widely inform people.
