Tet flowers in Sa Dec are grown the most in Tan Khanh Dong town, specifically Sa Dec flower village and along provincial road 848 from Sa Dec city to Cao Lanh city.

The best time to visit the vast fields of chrysanthemums is between December 15 and 23.

Provincial Road 848 is a favorite spot for photographers because it is home to large flower fields. Some flower fields have from 5,000 to 10,000 pots of chrysanthemums.

From the 23rd onwards, flower growers will deliver each flower pot to the Tet markets in all provinces and cities across the country. Therefore, after this time, the flower fields are often empty, no longer beautiful to visit and take pictures.

With its unique way of growing flowers, the flowers are grown on trellises about 80cm to 1m above the water surface. The trellises are made of firewood, bamboo or thin iron pieces with straight paths for people to enter and take care of them.

Many flower fields are even pumped with water to easily row boats between the flower beds, making transportation and movement more convenient. Thanks to that, coming to Sa Dec flower village, people can easily see images typical of the Southwest region when women wear conical hats, wear Ao Ba Ba, row boats... This place also attracts many young people to take pictures.

Talking about their unique way of growing flowers, people shared: "Growing flowers on trellises reduces damage from insects. In addition, it will be easier to move and take care of them such as watering, pruning, spraying pesticides and even transporting and selling them."

In the days before Tet, coming to Sa Dec flower village, you can feel the bustling atmosphere of preparing to welcome spring. The flower gardens and fields always have people watering, pruning branches, and wrapping flowers to sell. Vehicles come in and out of the flower gardens continuously, there are customers coming to the garden to buy flowers and tourists who love the countryside scenery asking to come into the garden to take pictures, making the atmosphere always bustling.

The best time to take photos is in the morning from 7am to 9am, and in the afternoon from 3pm to 5pm. You can just ask the garden owner and take photos freely. However, remember to give them some New Year's money as a thank you!
