Before the ceremony, the atmosphere in the residential group was bustling and full of excitement. Preparations were carried out carefully: some people prepared rice balls, sesame salt, and dry food; others were in charge of contacting car rentals; others were studying the map of the main roads where the parade would pass through… Everyone had the same goal of carefully preparing for the trip to Hanoi to attend the important ceremony.

The long trip, the group of more than 80 people from Group 17, Binh Minh Ward departed on the night of August 31 and arrived in Hanoi in the early morning of September 1. Thanks to the enthusiastic support of the local people, the group found a favorable position to watch the celebration and admire the parades and marching groups on September 2.

Joining the flow of people from all over the country pouring into the capital, the Tay ethnic people from Lao Cai also spread out mats to rest on the sidewalk, eagerly awaiting the big festival. Together, they prepared traditional costumes, wore T-shirts with the national flag, bought flags and flowers to cheer, adding to the atmosphere of the great festival. Living in the jubilant atmosphere of the national festival, witnessing with their own eyes the bustling, decisive footsteps of thousands of cadres and soldiers parading on the historic Ba Dinh Square - that was a great pride for every citizen present on this important occasion. Ms. Luong Ngoc Ha and the people in the group could not hide their pride and emotion. Ms. Ha shared: “The desire to directly attend and witness the important event of the country and the nation, for us Tay people, has now become a reality. Everyone is filled with joy and happiness. This is truly an unforgettable memory in life, especially meaningful when in the group there are many elderly people who are old but still try their best to go with their children and grandchildren to the capital on the great festival of the country.”

Immersed in the bustling crowd in the heart of the beloved capital Hanoi, amidst the flags and flowers covering the sky on the 80th anniversary of National Day, Mr. Nguyen Huu Duc and his relatives from Yen Bai ward could not hide their emotions. The moment of joining millions of people to sing the sacred National Anthem brought him a special, unforgettable feeling.

As the parade blocks marched through the streets, he and everyone else cheered and waved the red flag with a yellow star with pride. In the resounding sound of military music, the strong, decisive, and rhythmic footsteps of the soldiers seemed to evoke the heroic, resounding spirit of the old armies on their way to battle, fighting for the independence and unification of the Fatherland.

It is known that Mr. Duc and his relatives arranged their work and moved to Hanoi on August 31 to find a suitable location to watch the ceremony. The night before National Day, the streets of Hanoi and the people present there hardly slept, and neither did Mr. Duc. He and the people from all over joined in singing the familiar songs "Like having Uncle Ho on the great victory day", "Uncle still marches with us", "Holding hands together"... then eagerly waited every second and minute for the main ceremony and burst into joy and emotion when witnessing the solemn celebration of the 80th anniversary of National Day.

His voice hoarse after hours of continuous cheering, Mr. Duc said: Pride and gratitude are the feelings of not only me but also of millions of people witnessing the ceremony. Living in peace, enjoying the joy of Independence Day today, our young generation is even more grateful to generations of fathers and brothers who have steadfastly built and protected the Fatherland.

From the remote border areas of the Fatherland, a large number of people from Lao Cai province returned to the capital Hanoi to attend the 80th National Day celebration. In their luggage, they not only carried a passionate patriotism but also pride in their homeland, a border area that is increasingly changing and developing day by day. Having directly witnessed the sacred and heroic moments of the ceremony, each Lao Cai resident became more confident, strengthening their determination to study, work, produce and work, contributing to building a rich and beautiful homeland, a lasting and prosperous country.
