Man with knife chases and assaults shipper in HCMC

(Dan Tri) - A male shipper was chased and assaulted by a man with a knife on Pham Hong Thai Street, Ben Thanh Ward, District 1.

On January 2, a clip went viral on social media, recording a man with a knife chasing and assaulting a young man on the street. The incident occurred at around 12 noon the same day, on Pham Hong Thai Street, Ben Thanh Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the clip, the man holding a knife chased the young man on Pham Hong Thai street. Then, he used his hands to hold the man down on the side of the road and continuously assaulted him, kicking him in the head several times.

During the assault, the man fell to the street, the young man quickly took the opportunity to run away. At the time of the incident, another young man came in to stop him, however, he was chased away by the man and a woman.

Immediately after receiving information about the incident, Ben Thanh Ward Police quickly took action to verify and brought the man and the weapon to the headquarters for questioning. The authorities determined that the young man who was assaulted in the clip was a shipper.

At noon that same day, the young man came to deliver goods to the man's family. There, the two sides got into an argument and then the incident happened.
