Former leaders of Duc Hoa province and district, leaders of Duc Hoa Children's Rights Protection Association; representatives of leaders of An Ninh, Duc Hoa, Duc Lap, Hau Nghia, Hoa Khanh, Hiep Hoa and My Hanh communes and sponsoring units attended.
The Organizing Committee awarded and awarded Vo Van Tan scholarships, Bio Pharmachemie Joint Venture Company scholarships and the late Professor, Dr. Phan Hoang Dong scholarships to 194 students with a total cost of more than 340 million VND.
Specifically, the program awarded 110 Vo Van Tan scholarships to high school and college students; rewarded 10 students with high scores in grade 10 entrance exams, 11 students with high scores in high school exams, and 22 university and college students with good academic performance with a total cost of 302 million VND.
Here, the program also awarded 10 scholarships of the late teacher - Dr. Phan Hoang Dong with a total value of about 26 million VND; awarded 10 scholarships of Bio Pharmachemie Joint Venture Company with a total value of 20 million VND and 10 gifts of learning tools.
Having just received the Vo Van Tan scholarship, Le Tran Hoang Oanh, a fourth-year student at the Foreign Trade University, happily shared: “This scholarship has great significance, helping us overcome difficult circumstances as well as continue to strive in our studies. For me, this scholarship is not only a reward but also a reminder that on the path of study, there is always the companionship of our leaders and our homeland.”
Mai Anh Thu (student of Vo Van Tan High School) is one of 11 students awarded for their high school exam scores. Anh Thu confided: “I feel very happy and honored to receive the award from the Vo Van Tan Scholarship Fund. This scholarship is not only a gift that brings joy but also a motivation for me to continue my learning journey.”
Speaking at the scholarship awarding ceremony, former President Truong Tan Sang respectfully acknowledged the contributions of organizations and individuals in supporting the young generation, contributing to creating quality human resources for the country. He expected that students would strive to study and train to become a force for the country's development, especially in the field of high technology.
He highly appreciated the effectiveness of the Vo Van Tan Scholarship Fund and hoped that sponsors would continue to accompany him, increase the original fund, and support more students.
The former President also wished the students good studies and stable jobs; at the same time, he hoped that local leaders would continue to unite, contribute to building the homeland and country, and develop the cause of education and training.
In recent times, scholarship funds in Duc Hoa district (old), especially the Vo Van Tan Scholarship Fund, have played an important role in supporting students on their learning path. These scholarships not only help students and their families reduce the financial burden at the beginning of each school year, but are also a source of practical encouragement, encouraging the spirit of learning, helping them strive to excel and become useful citizens for society./.
