Today (June 12), Ha Tinh Electricity Company plans to cut off power to some communes in Huong Son and Loc Ha districts to serve the repair, renovation and maintenance of the power grid.

According to information from Ha Tinh Electricity Company, from 4am to 5am, the management unit will cut off power on the Huong Son intermediate line 972 to repair, renovate and maintain the grid. Accordingly, 4,739 customers in Son Ninh, Kim Hoa, Son Trung communes and part of Son Chau (Huong Son) will lose power.

Similarly, from 5am to 6:30pm on June 12, the electricity sector will also cut off power to the area after the 32 main axes of the intermediate 972 line in Huong Son. It is expected that 3,576 customers in Kim Hoa, Son Trung communes and a part of Son Ninh (Huong Son) will have their power supply temporarily cut off.

From 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Huong Son Power Company will cut off power on the Huong Son intermediate line 972. Accordingly, 4,739 customers in Son Ninh, Kim Hoa, Son Trung communes and a part of Son Chau (Huong Son) will have their power cut.

Currently, reservoirs near dead water level are causing difficulties for the operation of hydroelectric plants in Ha Tinh.

Also on June 12, in Loc Ha district, from 7am to 8am, the specialized sector will cut off power at branch 1 - Thach My 8 transformer station and branch 3 - Nam My transformer station to repair, renovate and maintain the power grid. Accordingly, it is expected that 288 customers in village 12 and village 13 (Thach My commune) will have their power supply temporarily cut off.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the El Nino phenomenon will cause high temperatures and low rainfall. Currently, the water level in many hydroelectric reservoirs across the country is mostly low, making electricity supply very difficult.

In recent days, the prolonged heat wave has posed a risk of power grid failures due to many electrical devices operating outdoors in high temperature environments; some power lines and transformer stations are overloaded at certain times. Ha Tinh Electricity Company has increased its staff by 100%, on duty 24/24h to be ready to restore power problems as quickly as possible.

To avoid local overloads that cause interruptions in power supply, Ha Tinh Electricity Company recommends that customers, offices and production facilities join hands to use electricity economically and effectively. Accordingly, turn off unnecessary electrical equipment; limit the use of high-capacity equipment during peak power consumption hours (from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 19:00 to 23:00 every day); pay attention to the reasonable use of air conditioning (set at 26 degrees Celsius or higher and use in combination with fans)...
