Rice prices today, July 15, in the Mekong Delta region are stable for both paddy and rice. The rice market has little supply, and transactions are stable.
The rice market in the Mekong Delta today is generally low in supply, slow in transactions, and poor in quality due to rain. Specifically, in Sa Dec (Dong Thap), warehouses buy slowly, rice prices fluctuate little. In An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang ), rice supply is low, prices are stable, and there is little good rice. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), transactions are slow, rice quality is poor, few good lots, and warehouses buy little.
According to an update from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, today's rice prices are stable compared to yesterday. Specifically, IR 504 summer-autumn raw rice is at 10,650 - 10,750 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice is at 12,450 - 12,550 VND/kg.
Contrary to the general trend, by-products today fluctuated in opposite directions compared to yesterday. Currently, the price of IR 504 rice bran is at 8,700 - 8,900 VND/kg (down 100 VND/kg). Meanwhile, the price of dry bran increased by 50 VND/kg to 7,000 - 7,150 VND/kg.
At retail markets, rice prices have not been adjusted. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of 20,000 VND/kg; Jasmine rice 18,000 - 20,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice 20,000 VND/kg; regular rice fluctuates around 15,000 - 16,000 VND/kg; long-grain fragrant rice 20,000 - 21,000 VND/kg; Huong jasmine rice 20,000 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice 21,000 VND/kg; common white rice 17,000 VND/kg; regular Soc rice 18,500 VND/kg; Thai Soc rice 20,000 VND/kg; Japanese rice 22,000 VND/kg.

Regarding rice, it is noted that in localities, new rice transactions are slow due to purchases, many places have stopped buying, farmers offer stable prices, and rice prices fluctuate little.
Specifically, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, rice prices are stable: IR 50404 fluctuates around 6,700 - 6,900 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice decreased by 200 VND/kg at 7,100 - 7,200 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice is stable at 6,800 - 7,100 VND/kg; OM 18 rice is priced at 7,000 - 7,200 VND/kg; OM 380 fluctuates from 7,200 - 7,300 VND/kg. Japanese rice is at 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 is priced at 7,600 - 7,700 VND/kg and Nang Nhen rice (dry) is at 20,000 VND/kg.
Accordingly, the sticky rice market recorded no adjustment compared to yesterday. 3-month sticky rice (dry) remained unchanged compared to the price from 8,800 VND/kg to 9,000 VND/kg. In addition, 9,000 - 9,200 VND/kg is the selling price applied to Long An sticky rice (dry). On the other hand, 3-month sticky rice (fresh) was stable compared to yesterday at 7,300 - 7,500 VND/kg and Long An sticky rice (fresh) continued to be stable today.
In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices remained unchanged compared to yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), 100% broken rice was stable at $470 per ton; 5% broken rice is currently at $567 per ton; and 25% broken rice is at $545 per ton.
