Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai urged the progress of site clearance for Tan Phu - Bao Loc expressway.

On the afternoon of July 31, at the Provincial People's Committee headquarters, comrade Nguyen Hong Hai, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee chaired an important meeting to promote the progress of the Tan Phu - Bao Loc expressway construction project.

Leaders of the Provincial Transport Project Management Board reported on project progress.

The meeting was attended by representatives of Deo Ca Group, the project's proposed investor, and leaders of relevant departments and localities.

The Tan Phu – Bao Loc Expressway project has a total length of about 65.88km, of which the section passing through Dong Nai province is 11.91km and Lam Dong province is 53.97km. The starting point of the project is at Km59+798.33, coinciding with the end point of the Dau Giay – Tan Phu Expressway project, in Phu Trung commune, Tan Phu district, Dong Nai province. The end point of the project is at Km125+675, through the intersection with Nguyen Van Cu street, Bao Loc city, Lam Dong province.

Investor representative proposed to adjust the proportion of State budget participating in the project.

The project has a total investment of up to 18,002 billion VND, of which the State budget capital is 6,500 billion VND (accounting for 36.11% of the total investment), and the investor's project implementation capital is 11,502 billion VND (accounting for 63.89% of the total investment).

At the meeting, Deo Ca Group proposed to adjust the proportion of State budget participating in the project to reduce the payback period to less than 20 years, and at the same time apply new regulations on investor selection. Accordingly, the unit proposed to appoint investors according to the provisions in Point d, Clause 1, Article 39.

Leaders of Da Huoai Commune People's Committee reported and proposed a number of issues related to site clearance work.

According to the report of the Provincial Traffic Project Management Board, by July 27, 2025, the investor had cast 1,410/2,589 site clearance piles (GPMB), reaching 54.5%, and located 1,058/2,589 concrete GPMB pile locations, reaching 41%. The project has completed placing temporary wooden piles in Lam Dong province for the area passing through people's land, but has not yet placed piles for the area passing through the forest and has been handed over to the localities where the project passes for management.

In his speech, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai requested the early establishment and consolidation of the Provincial Steering Committee to implement the project's direction consistently and synchronously. At the same time, he requested relevant levels and sectors to put their utmost determination and efforts into completing procedures and moving towards starting the expressway, especially in terms of compensation and site clearance.

He emphasized that the current tasks of the communes and wards are very heavy, but this is a very important project of the province, and suggested that localities pay attention to and urge the work of site clearance, promptly establish a Land Valuation Council, and do a good job of land management within the project scope, avoiding the situation of taking advantage of compensation for site clearance.

He also said that he would accept the investor's recommendations for study, and at the same time, request Deo Ca Group to speed up the progress of setting up the GPMB markers. "There are still many difficulties and obstacles. I hope that the investor will accompany the province with the highest spirit, trying to implement in accordance with the investment policy approved by the Government . If there are any difficulties, we will work together to share and resolve them."

Tan Phu-Bao Loc Expressway is part of the Dau Giay (Dong Nai)-Lien Khuong (Lam Dong) Expressway system, connecting Lam Dong province with the Southeast region. This project, together with the Bao Loc-Lien Khuong Expressway project, is expected to create a great driving force for the socio-economic development of Lam Dong province and neighboring areas, while contributing to improving competitiveness and attracting investment.
