Ms. D. has a child studying at Nguyen Dinh Chieu Primary School. Seeing that her child had lost weight, she inquired about her child's eating habits at school. Ms. D. noted that there were meals where her child only ate rice with fried eggs and pumpkin soup, but the food was very little, so she expressed concern.
Mr. D., whose child studies at Nguyen Dinh Chieu Primary School, also expressed his concern and said that the meals as recorded are very poor and will not ensure nutrition.
Mr. Le Minh Tri, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau City, said that initially, the Department acknowledged that parents complained about the lack of food in the school lunches. The fault first came from the unit providing the meals, however, the school was also irresponsible in this matter.
On the morning of December 12, the Department will hold a meeting with the leaders of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Primary School and the remaining three schools that organize boarding meals in the area to clarify the issues parents have reported. Through this, they will learn from experience in organizing boarding meals for students in the entire area.
