November 30, Dong Van commune held the launching ceremony of the Clubs for Preservation and Development of Dao Thanh Phan Ethnic Culture in 3 villages: Khe Moi, Khe Tien and Song Mooc. This is the first model of Club for Preservation and Development of Ethnic Minority Culture established in Binh Lieu district.
The 3 clubs have a total of 60 members, established with the aim of eliminating backward customs, preserving and promoting the good traditional values of the Dao Thanh Phan ethnic group, associated with building cultural families, cultural villages and the movement to build new rural areas. In particular, households participating in the club will have the opportunity to learn and share experiences in preserving traditional culture associated with developing community tourism .
The clubs were established to implement Decision No. 3536/QD-UBND dated December 27, 2018 of the People's Committee of Binh Lieu district on approving the Project on preserving and promoting the cultural values of ethnic groups in Binh Lieu district until 2020 and orientation to 2030 and Plan No. 59/KH-UBND dated June 12, 2024 of the People's Committee of Dong Van commune on establishing the Club for Preservation and Development of Dao Thanh Phan Ethnic Culture.
On this occasion, Dong Van commune also opened a model of rammed earth house homestay in Khe Tien village, Dong Van commune. The homestay was built with modern technology, inspired by the traditional rammed earth house of the Dao Thanh Phan people, but was designed according to high-class accommodation standards to meet the needs of tourists, especially international visitors when coming to Binh Lieu.
Coming to the homestay, in addition to staying in a traditional house, visitors can also experience many unique cultural and tourist activities such as watching ethnic cultural performances, enjoying traditional dishes of the Dao Thanh Phan people, trekking through the forest in Dong Van and visiting the lives of the villagers. This is the first homestay model in Khe Tien village.
In the coming time, Dong Van commune is expected to mobilize people to participate in building rammed earth homestays to turn Khe Tien village into a unique tourist village with at least 30 homestays.
