Production associated with environmental protection: Sustainable direction of industrial parks

Similarly, at KH Vatec Co., Ltd., a Korean company specializing in the production of electronic components, environmental factors are placed on par with growth targets. Right from the construction of the factory, the Company invested in a closed-loop exhaust and wastewater treatment system, installed emission monitoring sensors and conducted periodic monitoring.

Mr. Hong Sung Pyo, Director of the Company, said: Sustainable development starts with the environment. We do not only produce for growth, but also create long-term value, safe for people and the ecosystem.

Not only paying attention to the natural environment, businesses in the industrial park also pay special attention to the working environment. Clean space, full protective equipment, and convenient communal living areas are the factors that help workers feel secure and stay with the business for a long time.

Along with the efforts of enterprises, industrial park infrastructure investors also pay special attention to environmental issues. For example, Yen Binh Industrial Park, one of the province's key industrial parks, currently has a 100% occupancy rate, with 58 projects, total investment capital of 8.89 billion USD and more than 4,370 billion VND.

The centralized wastewater treatment plant at Yen Binh Industrial Park has a capacity of over 60,000m³/day and night, operates continuously 24/7 and is automatically monitored via an electronic system.

The investor, Yen Binh Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, has focused on investing in synchronous environmental infrastructure, with a centralized wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of more than 60,000m3/day and night, operating continuously 24/7. All enterprises in the industrial park are connected to the treatment plant, automatically monitored by an electronic system. Solid waste and hazardous waste are also classified and treated according to regulations.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien, Deputy General Director of Yen Binh Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, affirmed: With the goal of creating an environmentally friendly production space, we not only dedicate large land funds for green trees but also invest in synchronous and modern processing infrastructure, helping businesses feel secure in developing.

Up to now, Thai Nguyen province has 19 industrial parks with approved planning, with a total area of ​​over 6,400 hectares, of which 12 industrial parks have been established and 6 industrial parks have been put into effective operation. Currently, there are 348 projects with valid investment registration certificates, including 187 FDI projects with a total registered capital of 10.9 billion USD and 161 DDI projects with a total registered capital of 47,198 billion VND, making an important contribution to the province's export turnover.

According to statistics, in the period of 2020-2024, industrial zones in the area will achieve an average revenue of about 30 billion USD/year, export turnover of about 27 billion USD, creating jobs for more than 90,000 workers. In the first 8 months of 2025 alone, industrial zones will achieve a revenue of more than 21 billion USD, an increase of 7% over the same period.

Many FDI enterprises in Thai Nguyen such as Dongsung Vina, DBG Technology Vietnam… are accelerating production plans, expanding recruitment and focusing on investing in improving the working environment. This is a clear demonstration of the trend of industrial development associated with social responsibility and environmental protection goals.
