The Government also requested the Ministry of Construction to coordinate with ministries, branches, and localities to inspect, supervise, and ensure absolute safety during the construction of works and projects, to prevent similar incidents and accidents from occurring.

"We require units and contractors to strictly comply with the arrangement and ensure occupational safety conditions; resolutely not assign work to workers who do not comply with occupational safety regulations to avoid unfortunate accidents" - Mr. Lai emphasized.

Deputy Director of the Department of Construction Pham Van Lap said that the department has requested localities and units to organize comprehensive inspections and reviews of occupational safety management at construction sites in the area, especially key traffic infrastructure projects. In particular, it is necessary to pay special attention to measures to ensure safety for people, machinery, equipment, and construction vehicles; pay special attention to construction items in mountainous terrain, high slopes, areas with potential risks of landslides and collapses; and resolutely stop construction immediately when detecting risks that cause unsafety.
