Students work part-time with salary up to 180,000 VND/hour

According to information from the Ho Chi Minh City Student Support Center (SAC), at the beginning of the school year, this unit has about 2,000 part-time jobs to support students.

Depending on the job position such as waiter, receptionist, cashier, housekeeper, tutor, gifted educator , special educator... with salary from 22,500 to 180,000 VND/hour.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Diem, Deputy Head of the Administrative Organization Department, Ho Chi Minh City Student Support Center, said that the part-time job with a salary of 180,000 VND/hour is for students tutoring special education. Currently, many families have this need and require students to be majored students.

Besides, tutoring job also has a very high salary, can be from 150,000-200,000 VND/hour, the highest is tutoring high school students.

For jobs that require professional quality or high requirements from employers, Ms. Diem informed that students must go through direct consultation, guidance and introduction channels from the center.

In response to the need for students to find jobs at the beginning of the school year, the Ho Chi Minh City Student Support Center in collaboration with the Youth Union of District 1 Police, Ho Chi Minh City organized a series of programs "Identifying student fraud situations". In particular, warnings about fraud through disguised multi-level marketing targeting students working part-time.

Senior Lieutenant Chau Duc Nhan - Economic and Official Crime Investigation Police Team, District 1 Police, Ho Chi Minh City - said that currently, the situation of fraud through multi-level marketing is very complicated.

The target is the gullibility and desire to get rich quickly to pay for tuition and help the families of many students.

Senior Lieutenant Chau Duc Nhan pointed out some ways to identify signs of disguised multi-level marketing such as: calling for contributions of extremely small amounts of capital, promising attractive profits; requiring deposits to buy goods; continuously recruiting collaborators; not focusing on product quality; instructing on illegal ways to mobilize capital so that victims can deceive their family, relatives, friends...

Bad guys often approach students by meeting them in public places; posing as alumni or fellow countrymen; exploiting leaked personal information...

At the beginning of the new school year, the Ho Chi Minh City Student Support Center also received more than 2,200 accommodations at 600 lodging addresses and introduced to students a system of 15 dormitories of universities and colleges. The average price is from 2.5-4 million VND/room/month for 2-3 people.

In addition, this unit plans to coordinate in awarding about 3 billion VND in scholarships to students.
