Coming to the Ghibli Music Night, the audience was immersed in the unique melodies from Studio Ghibli's lovely animated films, thereby recalling the beautiful memories of their childhood. The music night had the participation of the band Hanoi Ensemble & Friends , along with more than 50 audiences who have loved Japanese culture and music .

Mr. Osuka Shoya, Head of the Organizing Committee, said that the main purpose of the music night is to create a relaxing weekend space for those who love Studio Ghibli films that were screened to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations (1973-2023). This is also an opportunity to introduce Japanese culture and music to Vietnamese friends.

Ms. Nguyen Thao My, an employee of the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange and also the MC of the concert, said that due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the garden concert series was postponed for a long time. With the Ghibli Music Night, she hopes to receive enthusiastic support from the audience, thereby creating more Japanese music programs.

Before the concert, the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange organized an activity to experience making figurines of funny animals, combined with exchanges and listening to stories about figurines from Meritorious Artist, Figurine Artist Dang Van Khang.

The activity of experiencing the toy figurines not only helps the audience better understand the beauty of folk culture but also creates a feeling of relaxation after stressful working hours, so that they can enjoy the music night to the fullest.

The Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam was established in 2008 and has since made great contributions to promoting cultural exchange and strengthening bilateral relations. In the fields of cultural and artistic exchange, the Center has organized many programs such as exhibitions, concerts, theater performances, etc.

The Open Air Chamber Concert Series is an annual activity of the Center, organized to contribute to the diverse musical activities in Hanoi , through introducing Japanese and international musical works, performed by outstanding Vietnamese artists.

In the future, the Center plans to organize more outdoor chamber music concerts, contributing to spreading Japanese cultural and musical values to the Vietnamese people.
